XTV is the NaSTA award-winning student television station at the University of Exeter. It is part of the Xmedia group of societies at the university and affiliated with the Students' Guild. Most of the station's content can be found on the YouTube channel.
There were plans for a student TV stations in 1990, involving, Guy Gadney and Thom Yorke. They proposed to set up "The Banana Network", but the idea got turned down by the Guild for unknown reasons, but funding played a part. When Guy Gudney returned from his year abroad, he did convince the Guild to set up a student TV station, and XTV was founded in 1992. [1]
Originally situated in Cornwall House on Streatham Campus, it moved back and forth to Devonshire House several times over its history and now shares the Media Suite with the university's student newspaper Exeposé. At the NaSTA conference in 2012, XTV was chosen as the next year's host. "NaSTA40", the ruby anniversary of the conference, was held in Exeter during 5–7 April 2013. [2]

Carlton Television was the ITV franchise holder for London and the surrounding counties from 9.25am every Monday to 5.15pm every Friday. The company is now managed with London Weekend Television as a single entity, but the two companies are still separately licensed. The station is owned and operated by ITV plc under the licensee of "ITV Broadcasting Limited". Carlton has been branded on air as "ITV1" since 28 October 2002. Carlton Television Ltd, the original holder of the licence, has since been dissolved. Carlton UK Television Limited however is now known as ITV Consumer Limited and legally operates ITV plc's websites. As Carlton's name has no relation to its region, its on-screen identity has been completely removed. Other regions have kept their original company name as a region name and in their local news name.
Virgin Media One, also called Virgin One, is an Irish free-to-air television channel owned by Virgin Media Ireland, operated through its subsidiary Virgin Media Television. The channel launched on 20 September 1998, as TV Three, becoming Ireland's fourth television channel and the first commercial channel. It was known as TV3 from 2006, and then as Virgin Media One from 30 August 2018. The channel broadcasts a mix of Irish programming and acquired programming from ITV and others.

Glasgow University Student Television is the student television station at the University of Glasgow and the oldest student-run television station in the world, founded in 1964. GUST is affiliated with the National Student Television Association (NaSTA) and broadcasts a wide range of programmes, including creative and factual as well as annual Freshers’ Week coverage. It is one of the four mediums of student media at the University of Glasgow, along with the Glasgow Guardian, Glasgow University Magazine and Subcity Radio.

Surge TV is a student television station that serves the students of the University of Southampton. The station was commissioned in 2006 and is a union group within the University of Southampton Students' Union, alongside its sister radio station Surge Radio. The station has produced and aired a variety of different programmes, including news coverage, special event programming, and original short films and series. Notable shows and films include the 2013 fantasy series Elfrida and the 2015 documentary The Gay Word. The station currently creates online contents available via YouTube and Facebook.
Kent Television (KTV) is the student-led television society at the University of Kent, Canterbury and is a media division of the university's student union, Kent Union. KTV was founded in May 2012 and within its first year has gone on to win 3 awards at NaSTA 2013, worked with the SU and the university to gain a new Student Media Centre on the university campus and hit over 125,000 views on its YouTube Channel. Currently the channel has 250,000 views and over 700 subscribers, along with an additional 2 more awards at NaSTA 2015.
The Mancunion is the University of Manchester Students' Union's student newspaper. It is the largest student newspaper in the United Kingdom and is distributed throughout Greater Manchester. The name is a portmanteau of Mancunian, the demonym for residents of Manchester, and union, given its role as the newspaper of the Students' Union. Past writers include film critics Mark Kermode.
LA1TV is a non-profit student television station at Lancaster University. It is a constitutional part of the Lancaster University Students' Union, but is run as an independent student society. Some of LA1's current programmes include Sugar TV and the FTO catchup. LA1TV is currently run by Station Manager Eve Harding.
