Xavier de Le Rue (born 1 July 1979) is a French big mountain snowboarder, who started his pro career competing on the Boardercross pro tour (organized at the time by the International Snowboard Federation). He competed for France at the 2006 Winter Olympics, but did not advance to the quarterfinals. [1] At the FIS Snowboarding World Championships 2009 he won a silver medal. [2] He is set to compete for France at the 2010 Winter Olympics. [3] He is the brother of bronze medalist Paul-Henri de Le Rue.

In 2010 he was nominated as a "stand out of the year" at 11th TransWorld SNOWboarding Rider Poll during SnowSports Industries America (SIA)'s Snow Show in Denver and 2010 Snowboarder Magazine Big Mountain Rider of The Year. [4] [5] [6] Furthermore, in March 2010, he won the Nissan Xtreme in Verbier with a new line, including a cliff that was never jumped before during this competition. With this victory, De Le Rue won the Freeride World Tour for the third time in a row. [7]

She has also won bronze at the 2005 FIS World Championships at Whistler, British Columbia, and has a total of six World Cup victories in her career. In January 2010, Teter was named to the US Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She won the silver medal in women's halfpipe at the Vancouver Games. Teter came in fourth at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Paul-Henri de Le Rue is a French snowboarder who competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. de le Rue won bronze in the men's snowboard cross event and is currently competing at the Freeride World Tour.

Travis Rice is an American professional snowboarder. He is #13 on Snowboarder magazine's list of the 20 most influential snowboarders of the last 20 years. The 41-year-old has featured in more than twenty snowboarding films. Rice's biggest claim to fame was when he arrived at Snowboarder magazine's Superpark contest at Mammoth Mountain and launched a 'mammoth' of a backside rodeo across a 117-foot gap jump. He has been considered "the Paul Revere" of the big mountain freestyle movement. In 2013, Rice was named the best contemporary snowboarder in the world by Red Bull; Rice was also hailed as one of the greatest snowboarders of all time by numerous writers and publications.

Danny Davis is a professional snowboarder. He was voted 2006 Rookie of the Year in the Transworld Snowboarding Riders Poll Awards, 2006 Rookie of the Year for Snowboarder Magazine, and 2008 Snowboarder Magazine Top 10 Riders of the Year.

Patrick Burgener, better known as Pat Burgener, is a Swiss professional snowboarder, two-time Olympian and musician. Pat joined the Swiss national team at the age of 14 and landed the world’s first Switch Backside Triple Cork 1440 in April 2011. Pat competed for Switzerland in the men's halfpipe at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang where he finished 5th overall. He earned two bronze medals in the halfpipe events at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2017 and again in 2019. Pat was named to his second Swiss Olympic Snowboard Freestyle Team on 18 January 2022. He represented Switzerland in the men’s halfpipe at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing where he qualified for the finals and placed 11th overall. His career results also include nine World Cup podiums, five European Cup podiums and seven Swiss Champion titles respectively in halfpipe and early on in big air.

The women's snowboard cross competition in snowboarding at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 9 February, at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Lindsey Jacobellis of the United States became the Olympic champion. Jacobellis dominated the snowboard cross for almost two decades, winning the X Games ten times and the world championships six times, but her only Olympic medal so far was the silver in 2006, when she started celebrating her win too early and was overtaken at the finish line. Chloé Trespeuch of France, the 2014 bronze medalist, won the silver medal, and Meryeta O'Dine of Canada the bronze, her first Olympic medal.

The men's snowboard cross competition in snowboarding at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 10 February, at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Alessandro Hämmerle of Austria became the champion. Éliot Grondin of Canada won the silver medal, and Omar Visintin of Italy the bronze. For all of them, this was the first Olympic medal.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Melissa Peperkamp</span> Dutch snowboarder (born 2004)

Melissa Peperkamp is a Dutch snowboarder. She is a multi-time Dutch champion. At the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics, she won a silver medal in the slopestyle event and a bronze in the Big air event. She qualified for both these events for the 2022 Winter Olympics. In the big air competition she qualified for the final and finished 6th while she narrowly missed the qualification for the final in the slopestyle competition.
