Xonia (born Loredana Sachelaru; 25 June 1989) is an Australian-born Romanian singer, songwriter, actress and dancer.
Xonia was born 25 June 1989 in Melbourne, Australia to Romanian parents. [1] Her birth name is Loredana Sachelaru but she was known as "Xonia" since her teen years. [2]
In 1997, Xonia began showing interest in music and was subsequently signed to a recording contract with a local label in early 2003. [3] Throughout her adolescence she worked with several music producers such as Rob Davis, Doug Brady and Kevin Colbert in order to record her debut album. [4] Simultaneously, Xonia graduated the Australian Ballet School (Certificate III in Dance) and was taken under the mentorship of Robert Sturrock, a well-known choreographer and dance coach. [5] In early 2000s Xonia put aside her musical career and focused on acting; shortly after she had a number of cameo appearances in high-profile TV series such as Noah's Arc, SeaChange, Holly's Heroes and Neighbours. In 2006, Xonia was selected to represent Australia at the international Beauty Contest "Miss Diaspora", where she had the opportunity to perform in front of 20,000 live spectators. [8] Same year later she performed in the Melbourne Commonwealth Games opening and closing ceremonies and was selected to dance with a guest star, the football player Nathan Brown from Richmond team. [9] Throughout 2007, Xonia showcased her choreography abilities while working with pop singer Georgina Ward for her live shows; [10] eventually she was featured as a backup dancer in some of the music videos produced by Ian Smith and Laura Gissara. [11] At the age of 19, Xonia enrolled in at the Hollywood Pop Academy in California, where she studied dance theory for a short time. [12]
In early 2008, Xonia started touring the United States, where she sang for the Romanian diaspora at some social events. [13] Eventually she spent some time in New York recording music and working on her original material. [14] Whilst living in America, Xonia received an invitation to participate as a jury member at the annual Miss Diaspora Contest; [15] [16] she accepted the invitation and performed on the stage of the Callatis Festival same year later. [17] [18] Shortly after this representation, as a reward for her musical efforts, she was given a record deal with Star Management Romania in order to launch her career. [19]
Xonia's debut single, titled "Someone to Love You", was released in late 2009 and enjoyed moderate success. [20] Same year later she was selected to represent Australia at the international music festival the Golden Stag, where she performed two songs: "Dirty Dancer" and "Trandafir de la Moldova". [21] [22] Impressed by her vocal ability showcased during the contest, the Universal Romania representatives offered her a management contract. [23] [24] Eventually Xonia released a single in early 2010, entitled "Take the Lead", which has received favorable reactions and created a significant buzz on the internet. [25] [26] [27]
In early 2010 Xonia collaborated with the Romanian pop band Deepcentral on a single called "My Beautiful One". [28] Xonia is currently working on her debut album with some well-known Romanian music producers including Marius Moga, George Hora, Mihai Ogășanu and Deepcentral. [5] [23] [ needs update ]
In 2013 Xonia released her new single "Ping Pong" through Red Cover Media Label. Song was produced by F.Charm and written by Xonia herself. Video for song premiered on 8 July. Video consists of Xonia either dancing in empty warehouse with back-up dancers or alone, walking outside the warehouse with two little dancers. In an interview with Cosmopolitan Romania, Sachelaru revealed that "she wanted to change herself, so she started with music". Ping Pong is reggae influenced track with a little bit of urban sound, but it's still very friendly to radio sound. The song was performed on several TV shows and concerts, such as Razboieni, Romanian Top Hits, Show Pacatos and Access Direct.[ citation needed ]

Alina Eremia is a Romanian singer, TV personality, and former member of the LaLa band, who represented Romania in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song Țurai. She plays Ioana in the teenage sitcom series Pariu cu viața. From 2014, she participated at the Romanian version of Dancing with the stars on Antena 1 and she was in the jury of Next Star.

"Do You Know? " is a song by Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias. It was released in 2007 as the first single from his eighth studio album, Insomniac and takes the latter part of its English name from the sound of a ping pong ball bouncing that is employed as a percussion track throughout the song. The song's Spanish version is entitled "Dímelo" and was released to Latin radio, becoming Iglesias' 17th number one song on the US Billboard Hot Latin Songs.

Constantin Sava, known simply as DJ Sava, is a Romanian electronic musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. He started mixing in the early 1990s and eventually became the official resident DJ of a local club called "No Limit". Ten years later, DJ Sava went on a small promotional tour of the Romanian seaside clubs; in 2005 he signed a management contract with record label of Mr Ankit Chouhan l, which promoted his first two singles: "Gone Away" and "Remember". In 2007, DJ Sava came to prominence following his debut album Love Drops, which was a commercial success in Romania, spawning two successful singles: "Sunshine" and "The Reason".
Heaven is a Romanian dance-pop girl group comprising lead singer Adina Postelnicu alongside her sister Roxana and Aliana Roșca. Formed in early 2005 in Vaslui, the band was launched into local recognition following the release of their debut single, named “Pentru totdeauna”, which peaked at number 24 on the Romanian charts. Heaven's debut album, titled O Parte Din Rai, was released in Romania in spring 2006 and has been compiled under the auspices of Cat Music.

Alexandra Ioana Stan is a Romanian singer. Born in Constanța, she made her worldwide breakthrough with the 2010 single "Mr. Saxobeat", which was written and produced by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi. They had previously discovered Stan at a karaoke bar in 2009 and signed her to their label, Maan Records. "Mr. Saxobeat" had followed the singer's debut single, "Lollipop " (2009), which brought her moderate fame in Romania. "Mr. Saxobeat" quickly achieved commercial success locally and abroad, reaching number one in several countries and gathering various certifications. Înapoi În Viitor is the ninth studio album by Romanian hip hop group B.U.G. Mafia, released on September 1, 2011, by Casa Productions in Romania. The album was originally due for a September 2010 release, but was not completed in time. Înapoi În Viitor was the group's first release after their departure from Cat Music, which was their distribution company for over 10 years.
Ștefan Relu Mihalache, better known by his stage name Connect-R, is a Romanian rapper, singer, producer and occasional actor, best known for his association with Romanian hip hop group R.A.C.L.A. early in his career and the successful solo career that followed his leaving of the group. "Fără Cuvinte" (Speechless) is the fifth and final single by B.U.G. Mafia from their ninth studio album, Înapoi În Viitor. The song features a guest appearance from Romanian pop singer Loredana Groza. Produced by group member Tataee and mixed by longtime B.U.G. Mafia collaborator Cristi Dobrică, it was released for digital download through the group's official website on June 29, 2011.
