YSR Indoor Stadium (French: Stade couvert YSR) is an indoor sporting arena located in Yanam, which is part of Union Territory of Pondichery . The capacity of the arena is 2,000 people. It hosted some events for the Indian Volley League in 2011. [1] [2]
The stadium is owned and maintained by Yanam Sports and Games Development Authority. It has facilities for hosting indoor game including volleyball, badminton, and basketball. The stadium is fully air-air-conditioned and has all the modern facilities of hosting indoor games. The stadium has hosted Junior National Badminton Championships, South Zone basketball championships, and a few volleyball and basketball matches. [3]
The stadium came into the national picture in 2011 when the Indian Volley League's third leg matches were held, and it also became the home of the Yanam Tigers. [4]

Yanam is a town located in the Yanam district in Puducherry. It has a population of 35,000 and is entirely surrounded by Andhra Pradesh. It was formerly a French colony for nearly 200 years, and, though united with India in 1954, is still sometimes known as "French Yanam". It possesses a blend of French culture and the Telugu culture, nicknamed Frelugu. During French rule, the Tuesday market at Yanam was popular among the Telugu people in the Madras Presidency, who visited Yanam to buy foreign and smuggled goods during Yanam People's Festival held in January. After implementation of the Child Marriage Restraint Act, 1929 in British India, Telugu people often traveled to Yanam to conduct child marriages, which remained legal under the French administration.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Chennai, India. It has a capacity to seat 40,000 people. It hosts football matches and athletic competitions. The complex also houses a multipurpose indoor stadium with a seating capacity of 5,000 which hosts volleyball, basketball, table tennis games. The stadium is also used for functions and concerts. The stadium is named after Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister. The stadium earlier hosted cricket test matches between 1956 and 1965. As of 19 August 2017 it has hosted 9 tests.
G. M. C. Balayogi Indoor Stadium is an indoor arena located in Hyderabad, India. It holds 5,000 people. It is located in the Gachibowli suburb. The stadium was built in 2002 headed by N. Chandrababu Naidu Government to host the 2003 Afro -Asian games. The indoor stadium is located beside the Hyderabad International Institute of Information Technology. The venue hosted the 2009 BWF World Championships. It is one of the home arenas for the India's prime basketball league, the UBA Pro Basketball League. The Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex is a sports complex located in Pune, India. The complex is situated about 15 km from Pune downtown and 5 km from Hinjawadi. This complex was the venue for the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games, Khelo India Youth Games in 2019 and AFC Women's Asian Cup.

Yanam Tigers was a franchise volleyball team based in Yanam, Puducherry that played in the Indian Volley League. The team was founded in 2011. Yanam Tigers finished third in the first edition, in 2011.
