The main objective of Hattikuni project is to provide irrigation facilities to the scarcity striken villages of Yadgir district to an extent of 5300 Acres. Hattikuni project is a medium irrigation project and it is constructed across Hattikuni nala Motanalli village, the spilled water from the dam runs over stream via Hattikuni, Yeddalli, Bandalli and Chamanalli to Bhima river near Yadgir. The project is located near Yadgir Taluka and District.
