Yao Pengcheng (born 3 January 1997) is a Chinese snooker player. He won a two-year card on the World Snooker Tour starting from the 2025-26 snooker season. [2]

Career

He won the CBSA China Tour in 2024 ahead of compatriot Lan Yuhao. [3] He was awarded a two-year card on the World Snooker Tour, from the start of the 2025-26 snooker season. [4]

2025–26 season

On his debut tournament as a professional he was drawn against India's Ishpreet Singh Chadha at the 2025 Wuhan Open and was defeated 5-1. [5] At his second tournament, the 2025 British Open, with qualifiers also played in June 2025, he was drawn against British player Sam Craigie, losing 4-1. [6] [7] He topped his round-robin group in the 2025 Championship League in Leicester on 30 June 2025, going unbeaten against compatriots Zhao Hanyang and Lyu Haotian, and recording his first win as a professional against Welshman Jamie Jones.
