Yared Hagos (born 27 March 1983) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey centre of Ethiopian descent, [1] who last played for the Sheffield Steelers in the UK's EIHL. [2] He also recently played with the Krefeld Pinguine in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL).
Hagos started playing professionally in the Swedish elite league in the 2000–01 season with AIK Hockey. He played for AIK for one more season before playing two seasons with Timrå IK. He was drafted by Dallas Stars in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, as their third pick, 70th overall. Hagos played for the Iowa Stars in the AHL for two seasons, totalling 44 points in 132 regular season games. [3]
For the 2007–08 season he returned to his native Sweden and played with Mora IK, but after team was relegated from play in Elitserien, he signed a one-year contract with the Swedish Champions of 2008, HV71. [4] Halfway through the 2008–09 season, he changed club again, this time to Södertälje SK. [5]
Hagos played only 26 games in his return to AIK in the 2014–15 season, before securing a release to sign for his second German DEL team, Krefeld Pinguine, on 19 January 2015. On 24 April 2015, Hagos was signed to a one-year extension with Pinguine. [6]
In November 2016, Hagos signed for the Sheffield Steelers as the replacement for Tyler Mosienko who had left the team. On June 13, 2017, Hagos officially announced his retirement. [7]

Dick Tärnström is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman. During the majority of his 21-year-long playing career, Tärnström played for AIK of the Swedish top-tier league Elitserien (SEL). He was the captain for AIK during the five last seasons of his career. He also spent five years in the National Hockey League (NHL), playing for the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers, and Columbus Blue Jackets.

Umicevic has represented the Sweden national ice hockey team in 2006 and 2007. With Södertälje SK he won the team's internal scoring league in the 2008–09 Elitserien season. Umičević was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the sixth round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, 184th overall.
The 2008–09 HV71 season saw HV71's attempt to defend their Swedish Championship title and win the regular season for a second consecutive season. It was the 25th season in the Swedish elite league Elitserien for the club. The club ended fourth after the regular season and managed to go to the finals but was beaten by Färjestads BK who won the Swedish Championship.

The 2009–10 Elitserien season was the 35th season of Elitserien. It started on September 21, 2009 and ended on March 13, 2010. The playoffs started on March 18, 2010 and ended on April 24, 2010. HV71 won the playoffs, beating Timrå IK 4–1 in the quarter final series, Skellefteå AIK 4–1 in the semifinal series, and Djurgårdens IF 4–2 in the final series. The season had a mid-season break that started on February 9 and ended on February 26 to allow participation of Elitserien players in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Västerviks Ishockeyklubb – commonly known as Västerviks IK or VIK – is a professional ice hockey team based in Västervik, Sweden. They currently play in the second-highest league in Swedish ice hockey system, HockeyAllsvenskan. The club had spent decades yo-yoing between the third and fourth tiers of Swedish ice hockey, Division 1 and Division 2, before securing promotion on March 31, 2016, to HockeyAllsvenskan for the 2016–17 season.
