Yelena Korolyova (born 27 October 1973) is a Russian freestyle skier who specialized in moguls and aerials. She represented the Unified Team at the 1992 Winter Olympics, and competed for Russia at the 1994 Winter Olympics and 1998 Winter Olympics in multiple freestyle skiing events. [1]
Born in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Korolyova began skiing at a young age and quickly rose through national and international ranks. Throughout her competitive career in the 1990s, she participated in World Cup events under the International Ski Federation (FIS), earning several top-10 finishes and establishing herself as one of Russia’s prominent female freestyle skiers during that era. Korolyova’s Olympic appearances in 1992, 1994, and 1998 included competing in women’s moguls and aerials events, showcasing technical skill and athleticism characteristic of the sport’s evolving demands throughout the 1990s. [3]
After retiring from competitive skiing, Korolyova has contributed to the development of freestyle skiing in Russia through coaching and mentoring younger athletes at regional sports schools.
