Yeo Martial (born 2 January 1944) is an Ivorian football manager. He managed the Ivory Coast national team to the 1992 African Cup of Nations, and after a stint managing Africa Sports and the Niger national team, [1] [2] he returned to Ivory Coast set up as Technical Director in 2004. [3]
Martial also runs his own football academy, the École de Football Yéo Martial, in Abidjan, established in 2001, which has an informal partnership with Italian side Parma. [4]
Kolo Abib Touré is an Ivorian professional football coach and former player. He most recently managed Championship side Wigan Athletic. He previously served as a first team coach at Leicester City and is currently an assistant coach for the Ivory Coast national team.
The Ivory Coast national football team represents Ivory Coast in men's international football. Nicknamed the Elephants, the team is managed by the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF). Until 2005, their greatest accomplishment was winning the 1992 African Cup of Nations against Ghana on penalties at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor in Dakar, Senegal. The club is also known as ASEC Mimosas Abidjan and ASEC Abidjan, especially in international club competitions. Founded in 1948, they are the most successful side in Ivorian football, having won the Ivorian Premier Division 28 times and the 1998 CAF Champions League. In addition, ASEC's Académie MimoSifcom has produced a number of famous players predominantly based in top foreign leagues, including Bonaventure Kalou, Didier Zokora, Emmanuel Eboué, Bakari Koné, Gervinho, Salomon Kalou, Romaric, Boubacar Barry, Didier Ya Konan, Kolo Touré, Yaya Touré and Odilon Kossounou, all of whom have played internationally.
Henri Louis Michel was a French football player and coach. He played as a midfielder for Nantes and the France national team, and later went on to coach various clubs and national teams all over the world. He coached France at the 1986 World Cup, where they reached the semi-final, eventually managing a third–place finish; he also helped the Olympic squad win a gold medal in the 1984 edition of the tournament.
