Young Mountain is the debut studio album by the American band This Will Destroy You. It was originally self-recorded and self-released in 2005, [5] and was intended to be a demo to be sold after local shows. [6] Although it was then only available as a CD-R, [7] the album began to receive press mentions. The band soon attracted the attention of Magic Bullet Records, [6] who repackaged the record and released it in CD format in June 2006. [5] [8] This was followed by a cassette release in December of the same year and a vinyl release the following March. [8] The album has generally received positive reviews, [6] including being named best album of 2006 by the editor of Rock Sound magazine, Darren Taylor. [9]
On October 28, 2016 This Will Destroy You announced that they would be re-releasing the album on CD and LP for its 10th anniversary through Magic Bullet Records. It also comes with a previously unreleased track from the Young Mountain sessions titled "Sleep".
Tracks from Young Mountain have often been used in popular media. Most notably, "There are Some Remedies Worse Than the Disease" was used in the trailer for the 2009 film The Taking of Pelham 123 , [10] "I Believe in Your Victory" was used in the 2008 horror film Prom Night and "Quiet" featured in the documentary film William Kunstler: Disturbing the Universe . [11] [12] Tracks from it were also used during a presentation at the Pentagon about Hurricane Katrina. [6] [13] The song "Quiet" was also used in a trailer for the film The Purge and in the closing of the ESPN documentary The Fab Five .

I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love is the debut studio album by American rock band My Chemical Romance, released on July 23, 2002 by Eyeball Records. Produced by Thursday vocalist Geoff Rickly, it was recorded at Nada Recording Studio in New Windsor, New York, in May 2002. In the band's 2006 documentary Life on the Murder Scene, the band describes the painful conditions lead singer Gerard Way was in during the recording of the album due to a toothache, causing the album to take longer to record than planned.

The Works is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Queen. It was released on 27 February 1984 by EMI Records just shortly after recording for the album had been completed in the United Kingdom and it is the band's first studio album to be released by Capitol Records in the United States. After the synth-heavy Hot Space (1982), the album saw the re-emergence of Brian May and Roger Taylor's rock sound, while still incorporating the early 80s retro futuristic electronic music and New York funk scenes. Recorded at the Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles, California, and Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany, from August 1983 to January 1984, the album's title comes from a comment Taylor made as recording began – "Let's give them the works!".
Soundtracks for the Blind is the tenth studio album by Swans. It was released as a double CD in 1996, through Young God Records. Soundtracks for the Blind was intended, as suggested by the title, to function as a "soundtrack for a non-existent film." It was the last studio album released by the band until 2010's My Father Will Guide Me up a Rope to the Sky. A reissue of the album was released on July 20, 2018, marking the first time Soundtracks for the Blind was released on vinyl.

The vinyl version of the album was pressed on red, blue and white vinyl and contains a quote from the television series Deadwood etched around the center label.
Insurgentes is the debut full-length solo album released by British musician and record producer Steven Wilson, known for being the founder and frontman of progressive rock band Porcupine Tree. The album was recorded all over the world in studios from Mexico City to Japan and Israel, between January and August 2008, and released in November 2008 as a special deluxe multi disc mail order version, with retail release to follow in February 2009. According to Wilson himself, the album contained "the most experimental song-based music [he had] made." The album is named after the Avenida de los Insurgentes, the longest avenue in Mexico City near which part of it was recorded.
"Your Betrayal" is a song by Welsh heavy metal band Bullet for My Valentine and was released as the first and lead US single from their third album, Fever. The song was set for release on 8 March 2010 to the radio; and, unexpectedly, was released early as a Digital 45 on iTunes along with the track "Begging for Mercy" on 2 March 2010. Before that, "Begging for Mercy" was offered for free download on 14 February 2010 from the band's official website for a limited time. "Your Betrayal" was nominated for the Kerrang! Award for Best Single.
