Eight Thousand Li of Cloud and Moon is a Taiwanese television series based on the life of Yue Fei, a Song dynasty general widely regarded as a patriot and national hero in Chinese culture for his role in the Jurchen campaigns against the Song dynasty. The Chinese title of the series comes from a line in Man Jiang Hong, a patriotic poem commonly attributed to Yue Fei. Beautiful Duckling is a 1965 Taiwanese film directed by Li Hsing. It tells the story of a duck man Lin Tsai-tien and his adopted daughter Hsiao-yue. Hsiao-yue knows nothing about her real descent, which Lin has designedly disguised. Her natural brother Chao-fu is a Taiwanese opera actor, he keeps asking Lin for money. He brings Hsiao-yue to the theatrical troupe to follow himself, where Hsiao-yue learns about her natural parents. Lin has to sell all his ducks, entrust Hsiao-yue to Chao-fu, and gives him money to let him start his own business. At the end of the film, Lin's son comes back, and Chao-fu repents his behavior and returns the money to Lin.
Ice Fantasy is a Chinese epic fantasy television drama based on Guo Jingming's bestselling novel, City of Fantasy. The drama was produced by Shanghai Youhug Media, directed by Ju Jue Liang, and stars Feng Shaofeng, Victoria Song, Ma Tianyu, Zhang Meng and Madina Memet. Legend of Nine Tails Fox is a 2016 Chinese television series based on six tales in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio by Pu Songling. It originally aired two episodes daily on Hunan TV, Sunday through Tuesday at 22:00 as well as simultaneously broadcast online on Youku, Tencent, Sohu and iQiyi. The drama was directed by Liu Yufen, Gao Linbao and Xu Huikang, and stars an ensemble cast of actors. The drama is separated into six plots based on the corresponding stories in the Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio.
