It is a designated Superfund site due to a number of soil and groundwater contaminants, including asbestos.

It is one of the Yuma Crossing and Associated Sites on the National Register of Historic Places in the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area. The site is now operated as a historical museum by Arizona State Parks as Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park.

It opened to freshman and sophomores for the 2007–08 school year. The school's mascot are the Hawks. The school is located on 7150 East 24th Street, which is home to many other schools in the Yuma County District, including Desert Mesa Elementary, Mary A. Otondo Elementary, Castle Dome Middle School, Ron Watson Middle School and Sunrise Elementary. Gila Ridge is also located west of Arizona Western College.

Roll is a populated place in central Yuma County, Arizona, United States. It is part of the Yuma Metropolitan Statistical Area. Named for early settler John H. Roll, it lies along the lower Gila River in the Mohawk Valley, between the Yuma Proving Ground and the Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range. It is located along the Union Pacific Railroad's Roll Industrial Lead. Local roads connect Roll to Interstate 8, east of the city of Yuma, the county seat of Yuma County. Its elevation is 262 feet (80 m). Although Roll is unincorporated, it has a post office. Roll has the ZIP Code of 85347; in the 2000 census, the population of the 85347 ZCTA was 1,235.

The Castle Dome Mountains are a mountain range in Yuma County, Arizona, within the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. Castle Dome Peak, the high point of the range, is a prominent butte and distinctive landmark. The peak is 3,776 feet (1,151 m) high, and is located at 33°05′04″N114°08′36″W. Castle Dome was named by American soldiers at old Fort Yuma in the 1880s. Early Spanish explorers called the same peak Cabeza de Gigante, "Giant's Head."

The Yuma County Library District (YCLD) serves the population of Yuma County, Arizona. Today, the library district consists of a Main Library located in Yuma as well as 7 branch libraries, which are located in downtown Yuma, the Foothills, Somerton, San Luis, Wellton, Dateland, and Roll. The first Yuma Library, a Carnegie library, opened February 24, 1921 with 1,053 volumes and seating for 20 persons. Located in Sunset Park, the Yuma Carnegie Library underwent several expansions and renovations over the years, including a $4.2 million renovation completed in 2009. The Yuma Carnegie library still operates today as the Heritage Branch Library in downtown Yuma.

Richard Holtorf is an American politician and rancher serving as a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 63rd district, which includes all or part of Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld, and Yuma counties, including the communities of Sterling, Fort Morgan, Brush, Yuma, and Wray. Prior to 2023 and reapportionment, Holtorf represented the 64th house district. He assumed office on December 28, 2019.
