Yun Mi-kyung (born October 14,1980) is a South Korean manhwa artist best known for her work Bride of the Water God . [1]
Yun received the silver medal in the New Artist Debut Competition for her work Na-eu Ji-gu Bang-moon-gi (The Journey of my Earth Visit) in 2003.
She received a Best New Artist award from the Dokja Manhwa prize organization for Railroad in 2004.
Currently working on Bride of the Water God in the magazine Wink.
Bride of Frankenstein is a 1935 American science fiction horror film,and the first sequel to Universal Pictures' 1931 film Frankenstein. As with the first film,Bride of Frankenstein was directed by James Whale starring Boris Karloff as the Monster and Colin Clive as Dr. Frankenstein. An interview with Hyung in Priest:Volume 3 states that the comic was based on the computer game Blood by Monolith Productions,which featured a similar horror-Western aesthetic and undead protagonist. He has also cited the comic as a mishmash of influences from other books,movies and games,elements from a culture that he felt was underground in Korea at the time.
