Yunchi, stylized as Yun*chi (born May 29, 1987) [1] is a Japanese singer and fashion model affiliated with Asobi System and Crown Records. She made her debut as a singer in 2012 with the release of her first mini-album Yun*chi. In 2013, she released her first single "Your Song", which was used in the anime series Log Horizon . Her first full album Asterisk was released in 2014. She has also appeared at events in Indonesia and the United Kingdom.

Career

Yunchi aspired to become an entertainer early in life, a dream that was encouraged by her parents. Because of her plans of becoming an entertainer, she thought of moving to Tokyo as a primary school student and auditioning for idol groups. After deciding to become an entertainer later in life, she joined the talent agency Asobi System, the same agency as artist Kyary Pamyu Pamyu who was Yunchi's senior. [1] [2]

Yunchi made her music debut with the mini-album Yun*chi, which was released on November 14, 2012. [3] The album's CD cover was awarded first prize at the 2013 Music Jacket Awards. [4] Her next release was the mini-album Shake you was released on April 17, 2013. [5] This was followed by her first single "Your song", which was released on November 13, 2013; [6] the title track is used as the ending theme to the first season of the anime series Log Horizon . [7]

Yunchi's first full album Asterisk was released on February 5, 2014, [8] and her third mini-album Starlight was released on July 2, 2014. [9] She made her first overseas appearance at Hyper Japan in July 2014, [10] and she made an appearance at an anime event held by the University of Indonesia in August 2014. [11] Her second single "Wonderful Wonder World" was released on October 22, 2014; the title track is used as the ending theme to the second season of Log Horizon. [7] She released a mini-album of anime song covers titled Ani*yun~anime song cover~ on April 15, 2015; the album includes a cover of the song "Catch You Catch Me" by Megumi Hinata, which was originally used as the first opening theme to the anime television series Cardcaptor Sakura . [7] Her third single "Lucky Girl" was released on July 15, 2015; [12] the title track is used as the opening theme to the third season of the anime short Wooser's Hand-to-Mouth Life . [13] Her second full album Pixie Dust was released on September 9, 2015. [14] Her fourth mini-album Canvas was released on August 2, 2017. [15]

<i>Cardcaptor Sakura</i> Japanese manga series by Clamp

Cardcaptor Sakura, abbreviated as CCS, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by the manga group Clamp. Serialized monthly in the shōjo manga magazine Nakayoshi from the June 1996 to August 2000 issues, it was also published in 12 tankōbon volumes by Kodansha between November 1996 and July 2000. The story centers on Sakura Kinomoto, an elementary school student who discovers magical powers after accidentally freeing a set of magical cards into the world; she must retrieve the cards to prevent catastrophe. Each of these cards grants different magical powers, and can only be activated by someone with inherent magical abilities. A sequel by Clamp, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, focusing on Sakura in junior high school, began serialization in Nakayoshi in 2016.

Nano Ripe is a Japanese pop rock duo that formed in 1998 as an indie band. They released three singles and four mini-albums before being signed to Lantis in 2010. Although the core of the band is made up of Kimiko and Jun Sasaki, when they debuted on Lantis in 2010, the band also consisted of bassist Nobuyuki Abe and drummer Shinn. Shinn left the band in 2011, but Yūki Aoyama joined the band as the drummer in 2013. Abe and Aoyama left the band in 2016.

The group debuted on November 13, 2012 with the music video for their first song "Cider Cider", which was produced by Ram Rider. In January 2013, they released their first digital single "Strobe", used as ending theme song for the anime Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter. Two months later, on March 6, Tempura Kidz made their physical debut with the release of their first single "One Step" produced by Nishi-ken. On March 26, 2018, member Nanaho graduated from Tempura Kidz. Tempura Kidz continued to perform as a four-person group until the graduation of Yu-ka, P→★ and Ao in March 2021.

Pika Pika Fantajin is the third studio album by Japanese singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, officially released on July 9, 2014. The album's official title is a portmanteau of the words "fantasy" and "person" (jin), as officially referenced to the album covers. The songs "Slowmo", from single "Yume no Hajima Ring Ring", and "Scanty Skimpy", from single "Family Party", were not included in the final track listing. Rhino Entertainment/Warner released the Vinyl LP Picture Disc version on January 13, 2015 in the USA. "Kira Kira Killer" and "Koi Koi Koi" were used in the soundtrack for the 2016 motion picture Sing.

Tia is a Japanese female pop singer-songwriter from Saitama who is signed to Dive II Entertainment. Discovered and produced by Ryo of Supercell, Tia made her debut signed to Aniplex in 2012 with her single "Love Me Gimme". She moved to the record label Dive II Entertainment in 2014.
