Yurii Zakharieiev is a Ukrainian amateur boxer. In 2021, he became the first person to win both the Youth and Elite World Championships in the same year, [1] and is the youngest Ukrainian to have won an amateur world championship. [2] [3]
Zakharieiev won a bronze medal at the 2022 European Amateur Boxing Championships in Yerevan though the result of his semifinal bout against Harris Akbar from England caused a controversy. Ukrainian training staff did not agree with the result by which Akbar was announced by 3-2 as the winner and they protested against that decision. As claimed by the vice-president of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine, the bout was reviewed by an independent board and Zakharieiev was admitted to be the actual winner and some judges were removed indefintively from the sport of boxing but this decision would have no effect on the tournament results. The International Boxing Association (IBA), previously known as the Association Internationale de Boxe Amateur (AIBA), is an international sports organization that sanctions amateur (Olympic-style) boxing matches and awards world and subordinate championships. IBA consists of five continental confederations: AFBC, AMBC, ASBC, EUBC, and OCBC. The association includes 203 national boxing federations.

Shiva Thapa is the third Indian boxer to win a medal at the AIBA World Boxing Championships. He is now an Account Manager with Midland Credit management. Thapa has been elected as a member of the International Boxing Association (amateur) Athletes Committee.
Anthony Victor James Yoka is a French professional boxer. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal at the 2015 European Games; and gold at the 2015 World Championships and 2016 Olympics.
Oleksandr Serhiyovych Gvozdyk is a Ukrainian professional boxer. He held the WBC and lineal light-heavyweight titles from 2018 to 2019. As an amateur, Gvozdyk won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics and a gold at the 2013 Summer Universiade.
