Abdullah bin Ahmad Badawi is a Malaysian retired politician who served as the fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia from 2003 to 2009. He was also the sixth president of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),the largest political party in Malaysia,and led the governing Barisan Nasional (BN) parliamentary coalition. He is informally known as Pak Lah,Pak meaning 'Uncle' or 'Sir',while Lah is taken from his name 'Abdullah'. He was also a Member of Parliament (MP) for Kepala Batas for eight consecutive terms,from 1978 to 2013. During the later part of Abdullah's administration,his government faced criticism for economic policies and performance,including concerns about inflation and the rising cost of living.
Hussein Onn was a Malaysian lawyer and politician who served as the third Prime Minister of Malaysia from the death of his predecessor Abdul Razak Hussein in 1976 to his retirement in 1981. Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mu’azzam Shah was Sultan of Pahang from 1974 until his abdication in 2019,and the seventh Yang di-Pertuan Agong,from 1979 to 1984. His abdication as sultan was decided by the Royal Council at an extraordinary meeting on 11 January 2019. A special amendment was passed on the state constitution that gave the body more power for this decision,citing the Sultan's incapability to rule due to his failing health. The abdication was announced the next day which was retroactively effective on the day of the Royal Council meeting,paving the way to his son,Abdullah to succeed him as sultan immediately,and subsequently be elected as the next Yang di-Pertuan Agong later the same month.

In accordance with its expansion to West Malaysia in November 2017,the party was rebranded with its new name and logo from the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP),a former component party of the BN coalition. He served as the 3rd Chairman of the BN Backbenchers Club from April 2008 to June 2013. He also served as President of SPDP from May 2014 to November 2017 and Deputy President of SPDP from March 2012 to his promotion to the SPDP presidency in May 2014 and previously the Treasurer-General of SPDP. Following the collapse of the BN administration after the 2018 general election and in the aftermath,a meeting between all Sarawak-based BN component parties was held on 12 June 2018,PDP decided to leave the coalition with the other three parties to form a new Sarawak-based political coalition in the meeting,namely the GPS coalition.
Elyas bin Omar was the third Mayor of Kuala Lumpur,as well as the longest serving Mayor in the History of Kuala Lumpur. He served for a period of 12 years. Elyas was the president of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) and during his tenure,Malaysia won the Thomas Cup in 1992. The Order of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah is an obsolete order of chivalry conferred by the Sultan of Selangor as a reward for general services to the sultan and state of Selangor during the reigning of the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj. It was established by the late Sultan on 30 September 1985 and it became obsolete following his demise on 21 November 2001. The order was awarded to high-ranking individuals who have contributed excellence to the Sultan of Selangor and His Majesty's Government.
