Zama or Zamá may refer to:
Zama is a city located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 June 2021, the city had an estimated population of 130,667 and a population density of 7,400 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 17.58 square kilometres (6.79 sq mi). The city hosts the United States Army Camp Zama base.

Hay-Zama Lakes is a 586-square-kilometre (226 sq mi) inland wetland and wildland park in northwestern Alberta, Canada. It was designated a Ramsar wetland of international importance on May 24, 1982, and is recognized as an Important Bird Area. It "constitutes one of the most extensive sedge wetlands in western North America".

The Ingonyama Trust is a corporate entity that was established by the KwaZulu Legislative Assembly in April 1994, days before South Africa's first democratic elections. The establishment of the Ingonyama Trust resulted from a secret deal between the National Party and the Inkatha Freedom Party that convinced the IFP to set aside its planned boycott of elections. The Ingonyama Trust was founded as a repository for the communal land of the Zulu Nation with His Majesty the King as the sole Trustee. In 1997 the democratic National Parliament of the Republic of South Africa amended this Act, so that it is consistent with modern constitutional order. This amendment involved changes to all sections of the Act by way of the KwaZulu - Natal Ingonyama Trust Amendment Act 9 of 1997. This Act established the Trust Board appointed by the Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development following a consultative process with the KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Executive Council and the KwaZulu - Natal Provincial House of Traditional Leaders. The King remains the sole Trustee and he chairs the Board.

On 29 September 2017, the Argentine Academy of Cinematography Arts and Sciences chose the film as the national entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards and Best Iberoamerican Film at the 32nd Goya Awards.

Zama zamas are illegal artisanal miners in South Africa who occupy closed or operational mines to mine for minerals such as gold, iron ore, coal, and manganese. The term Zama zama loosely translates to "Take a chance' in isiZulu and they use rudimentary tools and explosives for mining. Most of the Zama zamas come from neighboring countries such as Lesotho, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The South African government has reacted by deporting them because of the violence associated with their activities in the settlements they occupy which most of the times are near the mines.
