Zhu Yuqing (born 22 April 1963) is a retired Chinese heptathlete.
She finished eighth at the 1987 World Championships and twelfth at the 1991 World Championships. On the regional level she won the 1986 Asian Games [1] and the 1991 Asian Championships. [2]
Jyotirmoyee Sikdar is an Indian politician and former sportswoman. She served as member of parliament of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) from the Krishnagar constituency in the 14th Lok Sabha. She was defeated in the 2009 Indian general election by the actor turned politician Tapas Paul of the Trinamool Congress. She had been reportedly inactive in politics following her defeat. In 2019, she herself pledged support to the All India Trinamool Congress and then joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the following year.
Yuko Kawakami is a retired Japanese long-distance runner.
Li Huirong is a retired triple jumper from People's Republic of China, who set the first IAAF-recognized women's triple jump world record of 14.54 metres on August 25, 1990 at a meet in Sapporo, Japan. She claimed the bronze medal in the women's long jump at the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, India.
Hideyuki Takei is a Japanese former pole vaulter. He was twice champion at the Asian Athletics Championships, winning in 1991 and 1995. He represented his country at the 1991 World Championships in Athletics and represented Asia at the 1992 IAAF World Cup.
Zhang Li is a former track and field athlete from China, who competed for her native country in the women's javelin throw event. She was a gold medallist at the 1990 Asian Games and the 1993 Asian Athletics Championships. Her winning throw of 66.00 m at the former event was a Games record and remains the best mark using the old javelin design.
Shigeki Toyoshima is a Japanese former high jumper. He was a bronze medallist in his event at the 1998 Asian Games, sharing the position with Malaysia's Loo Kum Zee with a jump of 2.19 m. He cleared the same height at the 1991 Asian Athletics Championships to take the silver medal. He twice competed at the IAAF World Indoor Championships.
Esther Julia "Daysi" Duporty Torres is a retired sprinter from Cuba, who competed at three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1992. She set her personal best (50.61) in the women's 400 metres event on 6 September 1994 in Madrid.
Wang Xiuting is a Chinese former long-distance runner. She won the gold medal at the 1989 World 15km Road Race Championships, silver at the 1988 World 15 km Road Race Championships, and bronze in the 10,000 metres at the 1991 World Championships.
Tian Yumei is a Chinese former track and field sprinter. Her personal best of 11.06 seconds for the 100 metres was set in 1997. She was a three-time Chinese champion in individual sprints.
Xiao Yehua is a Chinese former track and field sprinter. Her personal best for the 100 metres was 11.23 seconds, set in 1992. She was a two-time Chinese champion over the 100 m.
Maho Hanaoka is a Japanese former track and field athlete who competed mainly in the long jump and triple jump. She is one of Japan's best female athletes in the horizontal jumps: she holds the Japanese records for the triple jump outdoors with 14.04 m and is also the record holder in both the long and triple jump indoors. Her long jump best of 6.82 m is a former Japanese record, second to Kumiko Ikeda.
Anna Mikhaylovna Knoroz is a retired Russian hurdler who specialised in the 400 metres hurdles. She won a bronze medal in the 400 m hurdles at the 1994 European Championships, and a gold medal in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 1991 World Championships. She also competed at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
The 1984 Arab Junior Athletics Championships was the inaugural edition of the international athletics competition for under-20 athletes from Arab countries. It took place in Casablanca, Morocco from 21–23 July. A total of 38 athletics events were contested, 22 for men and 16 for women. The competition was scheduled to be held in the years between the biennial Arab Athletics Championships for senior athletes.
The 1996 Arab Junior Athletics Championships was the seventh edition of the international athletics competition for under-20 athletes from Arab countries. It took place in Latakia, Syria. A total of 41 athletics events were contested, 22 for men and 19 for women. Morocco, a regional power in the sport, did not send a team to the meeting.

Shen Lijuan is a Chinese female former track and field athlete who competed in the shot put. She is a three-time Asian champion and a former Asian record holder for the event.
Mariam Ibekwe is a Nigerian former track and field athlete who competed in the shot put. She set her personal best of 16.68 m in 2007.
Kim Ki-Hun is a retired South Korean javelin thrower.
Nobuko Fujimura is a Japanese female former long-distance runner who competed in the marathon. She won the Hokkaido Marathon in 1993 and the Tokyo Women's Marathon in 1996. She represented her country at the World Championships in Athletics (1997), IAAF World Cross Country Championships (1994), and was a bronze medallist at the 1994 Asian Games.
Lukose Leelamma is an Indian athlete. She won a silver medal in 10000 metres in the 1991 Asian Athletics Championships. She was the National champion in 10000 metres in 1992, 1993, and 1994 and 3000 metres in 1991.
