Lin Chun-yu (born 20 February 1950) is a Taiwanese athlete. She competed in the women's long jump at the 1968 Summer Olympics and the 1972 Summer Olympics. [1]
The Republic of China (Taiwan) competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich for the last time as the "Republic of China". The ROC would not return to the Olympics until 1984 and under the name "Chinese Taipei" due to objections by the People's Republic of China over the political status of Taiwan.

In weightlifting, athletes both from Chinese Taipei and the People's Republic of China won medals.

Lin Yu-chun ; born 9 March 1986 in Taipei) is a Taiwanese singer, who gained fame by appearing on a Taiwanese talent show, One Million Star (超級星光大道), singing "I Will Always Love You" in the style of Whitney Houston's cover version. Lin is well known for his mezzo-soprano-like, and sometimes, contralto-like countertenor singing voice, although he has an adult speaking voice. According to many sources, Lin's voice is usually described as a mixture of Whitney Houston and Susan Boyle, with a dash of Cher. When Lin sings in his normal masculine voice rather than in a falsetto range, his voice actually somewhat sounds like Jamie Walters, or even possibly like Jackson Browne, and to a lesser extent, George Harrison.. In 2013, he competed in the second season of The Voice of China.
Lin Chia-en is a Taiwanese archer who competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics, and again at the 2020 Summer Olympics. At the Tokyo Olympics, Lin and teammate Tang Chih-chun tied for ninth place in the new mixed team event; she was the only female archer from Chinese Taipei to advance to the individual top 16.
Lin Yi-chun is a Taiwanese sport shooter. She won two medals, gold and silver, in the women's double trap, at the 2001 and 2002 ISSF World Shooting Championships in Cairo, Egypt and Lahti, Finland, respectively. She also captured a bronze medal in the women's trap at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, accumulating a score of 80 clay pigeons and a bonus of 1 target from a shoot-off. She won gold at the 2023 ISSF World Shooting Championships in trap.
Lin Yu-an is a Taiwanese swimmer, who specialized in individual medley events. Lin qualified for the men's 400 m individual medley at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, by clearing a FINA B-cut of 4:33.10 from the National University Games in Taipei. He participated in the first heat against three other swimmers Saša Imprić of Croatia, Andrew Mackay of the Cayman Islands, and Nikita Polyakov of Uzbekistan. He raced to third place by a 9.74-second margin behind Impric in 4:41.76. Lin failed to advance into the top 8 final, as he placed thirty-fifth overall on the first day of preliminaries.
