Zooni is an unreleased Indian Hindi-language film directed by Muzaffar Ali, starring Vinod Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. [1] [2] [3] The film was in production from 1988 and was expected to be released in 1990. A film restoration undertaking was announced in 2024. [4] [5] [6]

Plot

Zooni is a period film revolving around the sixteenth century Kashmiri poet Habba Khatoon (1554–1609 CE; also known as Zooni), queen of Yousuf Shah Chak, the ruler of Kashmir. After he was arrested by Mughal emperor Akbar and banished to Bihar, he remained to be the last ruler of Kashmir. [7]

Yousuf, born Yoūsuf (Yūsuf) Shāh Chak, was the fourth Chak Sultan of Kashmir, who ruled the Chak dynasty from 1578 to 1586. Yousuf succeeded his father, Ali Shah Chak, who crowned Yousuf before he died. Yousuf defeated all other contenders for the throne, including his uncle Abdal Chak, and ascended the throne in 1578.

<i>Anupamaa</i> Indian drama television series

Anupamaa is an Indian Hindi-language television drama series that premiered on 13 July 2020 on StarPlus and streams digitally on Disney+ Hotstar. Produced by Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi under the banner of Director's Kut Productions, it is a remake of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Sreemoyee. Rupali Ganguly plays the titular role and formerly starred Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma and Gaurav Khanna. Since October 2024, it stars Shivam Khajuria and Adrija Roy as its second generation leads along with Ganguly.

Agnichakra is a Hindi-language action drama film directed by Amit Suryavanshi and produced by Piyush Kumar. This film was released on 26 February 1997 under the banner of Jyoti Arts Productions.
