Zulfiqur Aziz (born October 18, 1963) is a retired rear admiral of the Bangladesh Navy. He is the former chairman of Chittagong Port Authority.
Zulfiqur Aziz was born into a Bengali Muslim family of Pabna District on October 18, 1963. He is an alumnus of Notre Dame College, Dhaka. He completed his graduation in mechanical engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 1989. [1]
He joined Bangladesh Navy in January 1984 as an officer cadet. He achieved a marine engineering specialisation degree from India in 1992.
In September 2012, Aziz was appointed member (engineering) of Chittagong Port Authority. [2] In January 2018, he was promoted to chairman, replacing Rear Admiral Mohammad Khaled Iqbal. In November 2018, Aziz was promoted to Rear Admiral from commodore. [3] [4] On April 12, 2020, Rear Admiral S.M Abul Kalam Azad replaced him as chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority. [5] He served as the Commodore Superintendent Dockyard from April 16, 2020, to November 9, 2021. [6]

He previously served as the Director of Coast Guard Operations and commander of Chittagong Naval Command (COMCHIT). He also served in Naval Headquarters as Director of Personnel Services and Secretary to the Chief of Naval Staff. Inter Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) announced Ahmed's nomination to succeed Admiral Farid Habib. Ahmed began serving as the 15th Chief of Naval Staff on 27 January 2016.

Bangladesh Maritime University (BMU) (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ মেরিটাইম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) was established in 2013, the 37th public university of the country. LLB in Maritime Law and BBA in Port Management and Logistics. 2020 BSc in Maritime Fisheries first batch admission and classes start.
Chittagong Dry Dock Limited (CDDL), formerly an enterprise of Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation, is a state-owned military ship repair facility based in near of the Chittagong Port, Bangladesh. CDDL is one of the largest ship builder and repair facilities in East and South Asian region, and one of the three shipyards owned and operated by the Bangladesh Navy.
Rear Admiral M Shafiul Azam, NUP, ndc, psc is a retired two star admiral of Bangladesh Navy. He was Assistant Chief of naval Staff (Materiel). He also held the post of CSD at Commodore Superintendent Dockyard.
Vice Admiral Mohammad Moyeenul Haque, NBP, NPP, nswc, psc is a retired officer of the Bangladesh Navy. His last appointment before retirement was the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Materiel) ACNS(M). Prior that he worked as a Senior Directing Staff (Navy) at the National Defence College. He took over the command of Commodore Superintendent Dockyard in February 2017. Before that he was the General Manager at Dockyard & Engineering Works (DEW), Narayanganj.

It was launched in 1996 and initially broadcast for one and a half hours, but the broadcast schedule significantly increased over time. Prior to join here he was Chairman of Payra Port Authority. Before that, he was serving as the Director of Submarine at the Navy Headquarters.

Before that, he was Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel). He also served as commander, Chattogram Naval Area. Prior to that, he was assistant chief of naval saff (logistics). He also served as director of submarine, Naval Headquarters, Dhaka. He was chairman of Payra Port Authority until 15 March 2022 before he promoted to rear admiral.
