The 2019 Indian general election in Andhra Pradesh were held on 11 April 2019 to elect representatives for the 17th Lok Sabha. [1] [2] [3] [4] The YSRCP swept the elections, winning 22 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state. TDP was reduced to just 3 seats, and national parties like BJP and INC were decimated, not winning any seat.

The Samajwadi Party is a socialist political party in India. It was founded by formerly Janata Dal politician Mulayam Singh Yadav and is headquartered in New Delhi. The Samajwadi Party is currently led by former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav. He was chosen as the President for the first time in an Emergency meeting in 2017. He was chosen for second time in 2017 at Agra Convention of Samajwadi Party. He was chosen for the third time at the party's national convention held in September 2022 at Lucknow.
The Telugu Desam Party is an Indian regionalist and Telugu nationalist political party with great influence in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao (N.T.R.) on 29 March 1982 and has focused on supporting Telugu speakers. The party has won a five-time majority in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. It is currently the ruling party in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

Yeduguri Sandinti Jagan Mohan Reddy, also known mononymously as Jagan, is an Indian politician and a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Pulivendula Assembly constituency in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative assembly. He previously served as the 17th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He is the president of the Indian political party, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). He is also the son of Y. S. The 1989 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election were held to elect the 9th legislative assembly of Andhra Pradesh. In the 1989 Andhra Pradesh Assembly election, Indian National Congress swept the polls, winning 181 of the 294 seats in the Assembly. As the leader of the Congress Legislature Party, Marri Chenna Reddy was elected the Chief Minister. The TDP won only 74 seats compared to 202 seats where it emerged victorious in 1985 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, due to anti incumbency wave which prevailed around the state. General Elections were held simultaneously and resulted in the INC(I) winning in 39 out of 42 Lok Sabha constituencies. The Telugu Desam Party on the other hand, won a mearge 2 Lok Sabha constituencies.

Rizwan Arshad is an Indian politician serving the Indian National Congress from the southern state of India, Karnataka. He became an MLA for the first time in December 2019 after winning the bypolls from Shivajinagar Assembly. He was the Congress candidate for Bangalore Central constituency in the 2014 Lok Sabha election, where he lost against BJP's P. C. Mohan.
