22 Scorpii (i Scorpii) is a single [7] star in the southern zodiac constellation of Scorpius, about one degree from Antares. It is faintly visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 4.78. [2] The distance to this star is estimated to be around 410 light years, as derived from its annual parallax shift of 7.89±0.24  mas . [1] The star is embedded in, or adjacent to, the diffuse nebulous cloud IC 4605 located in the western regions of the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex. [8]

22 Scorpii is a B-type main-sequence star with a stellar classification of B3 V. [3] It is ten [5] million years old and has a high rate of spin with a projected rotational velocity of 169 km/s. [2] The star has about six [5] times the mass of the Sun and is radiating 335 [4] times the Sun's luminosity from its photosphere at an effective temperature of 19,600  K . [2]

Chi Scorpii, Latinized from χ Scorpii, is a single star in the zodiac constellation of Scorpius. It has an orange hue and can be faintly seen with the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 5.22. Based upon parallax measurements, this star is around 409 light years from the Sun. The star is drifting closer with a radial velocity of −23.6 km/s.

ι2 Scorpii, Latinised as Iota2 Scorpii, is a single star in tail of the zodiac constellation of Scorpius. It has an apparent visual magnitude of +4.82, and is visible to the naked eye. Because of parallax measurement errors, the distance to this star is only approximately known: it lies around 2,500 light years away from the Sun. It has a visual companion, a magnitude 11.0 star at an angular separation of 31.60 arcseconds along a position angle of 36°, as of 2000.

Iota<sup>1</sup> Scorpii Star in the constellation Scorpius

Iota1 Scorpii, Latinized from ι1 Scorpii, is a star in the southern constellation of Scorpius. With an apparent visual magnitude of 3.03, this star can be seen with the naked eye. It is sometimes called by the proper name Apollyon. Parallax measurements place it at a distance of roughly 1,930 light-years from Earth, with a 9% margin of error.

Lambda Canis Majoris is a solitary, blue-white hued star in the constellation Canis Major. Lambda CMa is visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of +4.48. Based upon an annual parallax shift of 7.70 mas as seen from Earth, this star is located about 424 light years from the Sun. At that distance, the visual magnitude is diminished by an extinction of 0.14 due to interstellar dust.

N Carinae is a single star in the constellation Carina, just to the northeast of the prominent star Canopus. This object has a white hue and is faintly visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 4.35. Based on parallax, it is located at a distance of approximately 1,360 light years from the Sun. It has an absolute magnitude of −3.75, and is drifting further away with a radial velocity of +22.5 km/s.

Sigma Centauri, Latinized from σ Centauri, is the Bayer designation for a solitary star in the southern constellation of Centaurus. It is visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 3.91. A visual companion at an angular separation of 88.11±0.37 mas along a position angle of 14.33°±2.59° was detected in 2010 using interferometry, but its association with Sigma Centauri remains undetermined as of 2013. The distance to Sigma Centauri, based upon an annual parallax shift of 7.92 mas, is around 412 light years.

HD 75063 is a single star in the southern constellation of Vela. It has the Bayer designation of a Velorum, while HD 75063 is the identifier from the Henry Draper Catalogue. This is a naked-eye star with an apparent visual magnitude of 3.87 and has a white hue. The star is located at a distance of approximately 1,900 light-years from the Sun based on parallax measurements and has an absolute magnitude of −4.89. It is drifting further away with a radial velocity of +23 km/s.

1 Scorpii, or b Scorpii, is a single star in the southern zodiac constellation of Scorpius. It has an apparent magnitude of 4.63, which is bright enough to be faintly visible to the naked eye on a dark night. The star shows an annual parallax shift of 6.59 mas from Earth's orbit, which equates to a distance of roughly 490 light years. It is a probable member of the Sco OB2 moving group.

4 Scorpii is a single star in the southern zodiac constellation of Scorpius. With an apparent visual magnitude of +5.6, it is dimly visible to the naked eye under good viewing conditions. The distance to this star can be estimated from its annual parallax shift of 7.99±0.77 mas, which yields a value of around 410 light years. It is moving closer to the Sun with a heliocentric radial velocity of −29 km/s and will reach perihelion in about two million years at an estimated distance of 280 ly (86 pc).

12 Scorpii is a probable triple star system in the zodiac constellation of Scorpius, located about 300 light years away from the Sun. It has the Bayer designation c1 Scorpii; 12 Scorpii is the Flamsteed designation. This system is faintly visible to the naked eye with a combined apparent visual magnitude of 5.67. It is a probable member of the Sco OB2 moving group.

η Lupi, often Latinised as Eta Lupi, is a probable triple star system in the southern constellation of Lupus. It is visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 3.41. Based upon an annual parallax shift of 27.80 mas as seen from Earth, it is located around 136 parsecs (440 ly) distant from the Sun. It is a member of the Upper Centaurus–Lupus subgroup of the nearby Sco OB2 association.

Phi2 Lupi, Latinized from φ2 Lupi, is a solitary star in the southern constellation of Lupus. With an apparent magnitude of 4.535, it is bright enough to be seen with the naked eye. Based upon an annual parallax shift of 6.28 mas as seen from Earth, it is located around 520 light years from the Sun. At that distance, the visual magnitude of the star is diminished by an extinction factor of 0.052±0.013 due to interstellar dust. It is a member of the Upper Centaurus–Lupus subgroup of the Scorpius–Centaurus association.

Gamma<sup>1</sup> Normae Star in the constellation Norma

Gamma1 Normae, Latinized from γ1 Normae, is a single, yellow-white hued star in the southern constellation of Norma. It is faintly visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 4.98. The annual parallax shift is only 2.22±0.27 mas as measured from Earth, which yields a rough distance estimate of 1,500 light years from the Sun. It is moving closer to the Sun with a radial velocity of around -16 km/s.

N Scorpii, also known as HD 148703, is a solitary, bluish-white hued star located in the southern constellation Scorpius. It has an apparent magnitude of 4.23, making it readily visible to the naked eye. N Scorpii was initially given the Bayer designation Alpha Normae by Lacaille but it was later moved from Norma to Scorpius. N Scorpii is currently located 550 light years away based on parallax measurements from the Hipparcos satellite and is part of the Upper Scorpius–Centaurus region of the Scorpius–Centaurus association.

Omega Geminorum, Latinized from ω Geminorum, is a star located in the middle of the northern zodiac constellation of Gemini. With an apparent visual magnitude of 5.18, it is faintly visible to the naked eye. According to the Bortle scale, it can be viewed from dark suburban skies. With an annual parallax shift of just 2.19 mas, it is located about 1,500 light years from the Sun.

Omega2 Tauri is a solitary, white hued star in the zodiac constellation of Taurus. It has an apparent visual magnitude of +4.9, which is bright enough to be seen with the naked eye at night. The distance to this system, as determined using an annual parallax shift of 34.55 mas as seen from the Earth, is about 94 light years.
