Hyderabad State Indian princely state

Hyderabad State, also known as Hyderabad Deccan, was an Indian princely state located in the south-central region of India with its capital at the city of Hyderabad. It is now divided into the state of Telangana, the Hyderabad-Karnataka region of Karnataka, and the Marathwada region of Maharashtra.

Nizam-ul-Mulk, Asaf Jah I 18th-century Nizam of Hyderabad

Mir Qamar-ud-din Khan Siddiqi Bayafandi also known as Chin Qilich Khan, Nizam-ul-Mulk, Asaf Jah and Nizam I, was a nobleman of Perso-Turkic descent. He was a trusted nobleman and General in Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb army, Mughal governor of Deccan and, Mughal Grand vizier and the founder of the Asaf Jahi dynasty of which he was the Nizam I.

Nasir-ud-Din Muḥammad Shah was Mughal emperor from 1719 to 1748. He was son of Khujista Akhtar, the fourth son of Bahadur Shah I. With the help of the Sayyid brothers, he ascended the throne at the young age of 17. He later got rid of them with the help of Asaf Jah I – Syed Hussain Ali Khan was murdered at Fatehpur Sikri in 1720 and Syed Hassan Ali Khan Barha was fatally poisoned in 1722. Muhammad Shah was a great patron of the arts, including musical, cultural and administrative developments. His pen-name was Sadā Rangīla(Ever Joyous) and he is often referred to as "Muhammad Shah Rangila", also sometimes as "Bahadur Shah Rangila" after his grand father Bahadur Shah I.

The Nizams were the 18th-through-20th-century rulers of Hyderabad. Nizam of Hyderabad was the title of the monarch of the Hyderabad State. Nizam, shortened from Nizam-ul-Mulk, meaning Administrator of the Realm, was the title inherited by Asaf Jah I. He was the viceroy of the Great Mughal in the Deccan, the premier courtier in Mughal India in 1724, and the founding "Nizam of Hyderabad".

Aruna Asaf Ali Indian independence activist

Aruna Asaf Ali was an Indian educator, political activist, and publisher. An active participant in the Indian independence movement, she is widely remembered for hoisting the Indian National flag at the Gowalia Tank maidan, Bombay during a Quit India Movement in 1942. Nizam Ali Khan, Asaf Jah II 18th-century Nizam of Hyderabad

Mir Nizam Ali Khan, Asaf Jah II was the 2nd Nizam of Hyderabad State in South India between 1762 and 1803. He was born on 7 March 1734 as fourth son to Asaf Jah I and Umda Begum. His official name is Asaf Jah II, Nizam ul-Mulk, Nizam ud-Daula, Nawab Mir Nizam 'Ali Khan, Fateh Jang, Sipah Salar, Nawab Subedar of the Deccan.

Asaf Jahi dynasty

The Asaf Jahi was a dynasty which ruled the Kingdom of Hyderabad. It had Turkic origins tracing to the region around Samarkand. The family came to India in the late 17th century, and became employees of the Mughal Empire. As the Mughals, of Turco-Mongol origin, were great patrons of Persian culture, language, and literature, the family found a ready patronage.

Asaf Avidan Israeli singer-songwriter

Asaf Avidan is an Israeli singer-songwriter. From 2006 to 2011, he was part of the group Asaf Avidan & the Mojos, independently releasing three studio albums. The Reckoning, their debut record, was certified Gold in Israel and became one of the best-selling independent albums in the country. After disbanding in 2011, a 2012 remix of Asaf Avidan & the Mojos' single "Reckoning Song" (2008) by German disc jockey Wankelmut — retitled into One Day / Reckoning Song — attained widespread commercial success throughout Europe. It topped the charts in several countries and was certified Gold and Platinum. In 2012, Avidan started a solo career, eventually releasing three studio albums to moderate success in European countries.

Yousuf Hussain Khan (1902–1979), born in Hyderabad, India, was a historian, scholar, educationist, critic and author. He mastered the languages of Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Hindi and Persian.

The Hong Kong Sailing Federation is the national governing body for the sport of sailing in Hong Kong, recognised by the International Sailing Federation.

Sailing competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo are scheduled to take place from 25 July to 4 August 2021 at the Enoshima Yacht Harbor in Enoshima. The RS:X, Laser, Laser Radial, Finn, 470, 49er, 49erFX, and Nacra17 are all returning for 2020; there are no significant changes to the Olympic programme from 2016.

A.C. Guards Neighbourhood in Hyderabad, Telangana, India

A.C. Guards is the name of the locality in the city of Hyderabad, Telangana. The name A.C Guards stands for the African Cavalry Guards of Hyderabad State who were stationed there since the time of 6th Nizam Mahbub Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VI.

Asaf Ali Asghar Fyzee

Asaf Ali Asghar Fyzee was an Indian educator, jurist, author, diplomat, and Islamic scholar who is considered one of leading pioneers of modern Ismaili studies. He also served as India's second ambassador to Egypt from 1949 to 1952, and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jammu and Kashmir from 1957 to 1960.

Sailing at the 2018 Asian Games was held at the Ancol Beach Marina, Jakarta, Indonesia. It was held from 24 to 31 August 2018.

The 2016 Asian Sailing Championship was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates 5–12 March and served as a qualification event for the 2016 Summer Olympics in six events.
