Fort Yamhill was an American military fortification in the state of Oregon. Built in 1856 in the Oregon Territory, it remained an active post until 1866. The Army outpost was used to provide a presence next to the Grand Ronde Agency Coastal Reservation. Several officers stationed at the United States Army post prior to the American Civil War would later serve as generals in that war.
The Hotel Lucia, formerly the Imperial Hotel, is a historic hotel building in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. It was built in 1909 as an extension of the adjacent, original Imperial Hotel. The original Imperial building was made into a separate hotel in 1949, renamed the Plaza Hotel, and after a period of non-hotel use in the 1980s it today operates as the Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland.
Lookingglass is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in the Lookingglass Valley of Douglas County, Oregon, United States, about 9 miles (14 km) southwest of Roseburg. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 855. Lookingglass is considered a suburb of Roseburg.
The Elks Temple, also known as the Princeton Building and as the west wing of the Sentinel Hotel, is a former Elks building and historic hotel building in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. Built in 1923, it is one of two NRHP-listed buildings that make up the Sentinel Hotel, the other being the 1909-built Seward Hotel. The Seward was renamed the Governor Hotel in 1932, and in 1992 it was joined with the former Elks building, and thereafter the building became the west wing of a two-building hotel, an expanded Governor Hotel. The hotel's main entrance was moved to this building from the east building in 2004. The Governor Hotel was renamed the Sentinel Hotel in 2014. Use of the building as an Elks temple lasted less than a decade, ending in 1932.
The Jones Cash Store was a mail order catalog business established by Portland, Oregon, entrepreneur Henry J. Ottenheimer in 1882, and is a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Before moving to a larger, more prominent location, the Jones Cash Store operated out of a building at 80 and 82 Front Street in the downtown area of Portland. As popularity of the mail order catalog grew throughout the Pacific Northwest, Henry sought to find a larger building within which to operate. He later purchased the property at 111 SE Belmont Street and began construction on his state-of-the-art 80,000-square-foot (7,400 m2) catalog supply store. Because of its location by the railroad tracks and the river, the store could easily ship and receive goods by railroad, steamer ship, and via truck. The building remained the Jones Cash Store until 1929 at which time it was sold to Montgomery Ward.

The Calumet Hotel, also known as the Esquire Hotel, is a former hotel building located in downtown Portland, Oregon, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was changed from a commercial hotel to a residential hotel for low-income residents in the 1930s. At some point, it took the name Esquire Hotel. By the time of its nomination to the National Register, in 1983, it was vacant. The building was renovated in 2008–09 and is now known as "The Esquire" apartments.
