Belmont Park is a neighborhood in the city of Long Beach, California.

It is located north of Belmont Shore and east of Belmont Heights, Long Beach, California. It continues the street pattern of Belmont Shore, set at an angle to the cardinal directions, with a curvilinear twist that Belmont Shore lacks. Belmont Park abuts Alamitos Bay and Long Beach Marine Stadium, with Naples across the water to the southeast.

Gov. George Deukmejian resided in the neighborhood for over 51 years. [1]

McLaughlin Eastshore State Park

McLaughlin Eastshore State Park is a state park and wildlife refuge along the San Francisco Bay shoreline of the East Bay between the cities of Richmond, Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, and Oakland. It encompasses remnant natural wetlands, restored wetlands, as well as landfill west of the Eastshore Freeway. Its shoreline is 8.5 miles (13.7 km) long, and its total area is 1,854 acres (750 ha), which includes both tidelands and uplands. Originally named just Eastshore State Park, it was renamed in October 2012 to honor the late Save the Bay founder Sylvia McLaughlin, who, along with the late Dwight Steele of Citizens for Eastshore Park, drove the establishment of the park. Prior to 2013, it was jointly managed by the California State Parks and East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD). The state agency and EBRPD executed a 30-year agreement for EBRPD to manage the park.

Mark Wayne Rathbun, better known as the Belmont Shore Rapist, is a serial rapist who was active on the west coast of the United States during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Between 1997 and 2002, Rathbun committed at least fourteen rapes in Los Angeles County and Orange County, California. Many of Rathbun's attacks were committed in the Belmont Shore district of Long Beach, California, hence his nickname. In addition to striking in Long Beach, Rathbun was also active in the cities of Huntington Beach and Los Alamitos.

The Shoreline Pedestrian Bikepath also known as the Long Beach Bike Path is a 4.5-mile (7.2 km) path along the Pacific Ocean from Shoreline Village in downtown Long Beach, California to Belmont Shore, Los Angeles County. It was completed in 1988 and is used by walkers, joggers, and skaters. In 2013 the California Coastal Commission approved a second path for pedestrians to run parallel to the path used primarily by bicyclists.
