The Premier of Mpumalanga is the head of government of Mpumalanga province in South Africa. The current Premier of Mpumalanga is Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane, a member of the African National Congress, who was appointed in March 2018. She took office on 20 March 2018.
The nine provinces of South Africa are governed by provincial governments which form the second layer of government, between the national government and the municipalities. The provincial governments are established, and their structure defined, by Chapter Six of the Constitution of South Africa.

She is currently the MEC for Social Development and the acting Provincial Secretary of the African National Congress (ANC) in Mpumalanga. She is a former mayor for the Emalahleni Local Municipality in Witbank as well as a former Deputy President of the South African Local Government Association (SALGA).
Tsietsi Peter Nyoni is a South African politician and a member of the African National Congress (ANC) who currently serves as the Deputy Director-General for the Mpumalanga Provincial Government. He previously served as one of the executive directors for the Mpumalanga Human Settlements Department until he was removed in 2013 from the position by then Premier David Mabuza. He was appointed to head the Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs in the province in August 2016 until February 2020 when current Premier Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane made him the provincial government's Deputy Director-General.
Sasekani Janet Manzini is a South African politician who currently serves as the MEC for Health in the Mpumalanga provincial government, appointed in July 2018 as well as the Provincial spokesperson of the African National Congress (ANC) in Mpumalanga. She was elected to serve on the ANC's provincial executive committee (PEC) in December 2015 from the position of provincial African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) secretary. Manzini served as the MEC for the provincial Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport from August 2016 to July 2018. She has been a member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since February 2016.
Mandla Jeffrey Msibi is a South African politician and educator who has been the Mpumalanga MEC for Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs since February 2021 and a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since May 2019. He was the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from May 2019 to February 2021. Prior to serving in the legislature, he was the speaker and a councillor in the Mbombela Local Municipality. Msibi is a member of the African National Congress.
Mosimanegare Kenneth Mmoiemang is a South African politician who has been a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces since May 2019. He is a member of the Northern Cape delegation. He was the provincial MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs from 2009 to 2013 and the speaker of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature from 2013 to 2019. Mmoiemang is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).
Gillion Pudumo Mashego is a South African politician who served as the Mpumalanga MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport from July 2018 until February 2021. He has been a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature for the African National Congress since May 2014. He was the provincial Health MEC from May 2014 until July 2018.
Zolile Monakali is a South African educator and politician who has served as the Northern Cape MEC for Education since 16 September 2020. He was sworn in as a Member of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature on 8 September. Prior to serving in the provincial government, he was the Executive Mayor of the Pixley ka Seme District Municipality. Monakali is a member of the African National Congress and the party's Pixley ka Seme regional chairperson.
Petrus Simon Ngomane, known as Pat Ngomane, is a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress, he was elected to the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature in May 2014. He served as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Community Safety, Security and Liaison from August 2016 until May 2019, when he was appointed MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism. Ngomane served in the position until an executive council reshuffle in February 2021.
Sikhumbuzo Eric Kholwane is a South African politician and lawyer who served as the Mpumalanga MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism from May 2014 to May 2019. He was also a member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature during that time. Prior to serving in the Mpumalanga provincial government, Kholwane was a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2004 to 2014. He is a member of both the African National Congress and the South African Communist Party.
Kwazikwenkosi Innocent Mshengu is a South African lawyer and African National Congress politician who has served as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, and has also been a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature since May 2019. Mshengu is the provincial chairperson of the African National Congress Youth League.
Mohita Latchminarain is a South African politician from Mpumalanga who has been the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for the Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport since February 2021 and a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since May 2019. Latchminarain is a member of the governing African National Congress.
Prince Vusumuzi Mkhatshwa is a South African politician serving as Mpumalanga's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism since 2021. A member of the African National Congress, he previously served as the deputy speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature from 2019 to 2021.
Vusumuzi Cyril Xaba is a South African politician and a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2019. He is currently serving as Co-Chairperson of the Joint Standing Committee on Defence and as Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Defence and Military Veterans. A member of the African National Congress, he previously served in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 1994 to 2009 and from 2014 to 2019. He was the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development from 2014 to 2016.
James Jim Skosana was a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress, he served in the South African National Assembly from May 2009 to February 2018. He became a member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature in March 2018. In March 2021 Skosana was elected as the deputy speaker of the provincial legislature.
Nonkqubela Ntomboxolo Pieters is a South African politician and educator who has been the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Rural Development and Agrarian Reform since 2021 and a member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature since 2019, representing the African National Congress (ANC). She previously served as the MEC for Human Settlements from 2019 to 2021. Pieters served as the speaker of the Cacadu District Municipality from 2006 to 2018.
