Bosnia and Herzegovina, sometimes known as Bosnia-Herzegovina and informally as Bosnia, is a country in Southeast Europe, situated on the Balkan Peninsula. It borders Serbia to the east, Montenegro to the southeast, and Croatia to the north and southwest. In the south it has a 20 kilometres long coast on the Adriatic Sea, with the town of Neum being its only access to the sea. Bosnia has a moderate continental climate with hot summers and cold, snowy winters. In the central and eastern regions, the geography is mountainous, in the northwest it is moderately hilly, and in the northeast it is predominantly flat. Herzegovina, the smaller, southern region, has a Mediterranean climate and is mostly mountainous. Sarajevo is the capital and the largest city.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team represents Bosnia and Herzegovina in men's international football competitions, and is governed by the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Until 1992, Bosnian footballers played for Yugoslavia.
Fudbalski klub Slavija Sarajevo is a professional association football club from the city of Istočno Sarajevo, Republika Srpska that is situated in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Slavija Sarajevo is a member of the Football Association of Republika Srpska and the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it is active in the First League of the Republika Srpska. The club's home stadium is Gradski SRC Slavija Stadium, which has a capacity of 6,000 seats.
Mirko Hrgović is a Bosnian professional football manager and former player currently working as an assistant coach for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
The Luxembourg national rugby union team is a minor team, and is ranked as a third tier nation. Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Bistra voda" written by Aleksandar Čović. The song was performed by the band Regina. On 12 January 2009, the Bosnian broadcaster Radio and Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHRT) revealed that they had internally selected Regina to compete at the 2009 contest in Moscow, Russia. Their song, "Bistra voda", was presented to the public during a show entitled BH Eurosong Show 2009 on 1 March 2009.

The Regional Rugby Championship is an annual rugby union competition involving sides from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia. This was a successor to the Interliga between clubs from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia which started in 2004/2005. In the past the Championship has also featured teams from Austria and Bulgaria, and invitations to teams from Greece. Currently six teams qualify each season, based on their performance in national championships. The first season in 2007/2008 had 11 teams. The 2019/2020 season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Bosnia national rugby league team represents Bosnia and Herzegovina in the sport of rugby league football and have been participating in international competition since 2014.
Rugby union in Montenegro is a minor but growing sport. The game has only recently been developed in the country since its independence in 2006. The governing body is the Montenegrin Rugby Union which was accepted as a member of Rugby Europe at the 2014 convention held in Split, Croatia. It is not yet affiliated with World Rugby but is applying for membership.
The Rugby Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the governing body for rugby in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It oversees the various national teams and domestic competitions.
