Incheon, formerly Jemulpo or Chemulp'o (제물포) until the period after 1910, officially the Incheon Metropolitan City, is a city located in northwestern South Korea, bordering Seoul and Gyeonggi to the east. Inhabited since the Neolithic, Incheon was home to just 4,700 people when it became an international port in 1883. Today, about 3 million people live in the city, making it South Korea's third-most-populous city after Seoul and Busan.
The Seoul Metropolitan Subway is a metropolitan railway system consisting of 23 rapid transit, light metro, commuter rail and people mover lines located in northwest South Korea. The system serves most of the Seoul Metropolitan Area including the Incheon metropolis and satellite cities in Gyeonggi province. Some regional lines in the network stretch out beyond the Seoul Metropolitan Area to rural areas in northern Chungnam province and western Gangwon province, that lie over 100 km (62 mi) away from the capital.
Seoul Subway Line 5 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway, dubbed the purple line, is a long line crossing from west to the east across the Seoul National Capital Area, South Korea. It is one of two subway lines in Seoul to cross under the Han River, which is done at two points. The main line runs through to Hanam Geomdansan Station while the branch line from Gangdong Station terminates at Macheon Station. In 2019, Line 5 carried an annual ridership of 334 million or about 915,000 passengers per day.
Yongsan Station is a major railway station in the Yongsan District of Seoul, South Korea. The station adjoins the Yongsan Electronics Market. The station is the terminus for high-speed and long-distance trains on a number of railway lines, including most trains on the Honam Line, its high-speed counterpart, and all trains on the Janghang and Jeolla Lines.
Bucheon is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Bucheon is located 25 kilometers (16 mi) away from Seoul, of which it is a satellite city. It is located between Incheon and Seoul.
City Hall Station is a station on Seoul Subway lines 1 and 2. As its name suggests, Seoul City Hall is located right next to the station. Deoksugung, a historic palace of the Joseon dynasty, is on the other side of the boulevard named Taepyeongno.

In 2019, Line 9 had an annual ridership of 225 million or about 616,000 people per day.
Gangnam is a station on Line 2 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. The station is located within the Greater Gangnam Area between the Gangnam and Seocho Districts of Seoul, South Korea. The station is the busiest station on the Seoul Metropolitan Subway, serving over 70,000 daily passengers on average.
Dangsan Station (Korean: 당산역) is an elevated station on the Seoul Subway Line 2 and is an underground station on the Seoul Subway Line 9. The station is located on the south bank of the Han River in Yeongdeungpo-gu. Because the station is elevated, trains exiting to or entering from the north make use of the Dangsan Railway Bridge. As of April 2009, the platform has been outfitted with platform screen doors. Dangsan station is currently a transfer point between Line 2 and Seoul Subway Line 9. Songtan Station is a ground level metro station in Songtan, a district of Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The station is on Line 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway, which runs from Soyosan in Dongducheon to Cheonan in Chungcheongnam-do. The line also serves Osan, Suwon, and Seoul.
Wangsimni Station is a station on Seoul Subway Line 2, Seoul Subway Line 5, Gyeongui–Jungang Line, and Suin–Bundang Line; most Suin–Bundang Line trains end service here, though a few daily services continue along the tracks used by the Gyeonggi-Jungang line to terminate at the next station, Cheongnyangni in northeastern Seoul. Cheongnyangni Station (청량리역) is a major railway station located at Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It serves as a terminus for passenger trains serving the eastern part of South Korea. KTX, ITX-Cheongchun, and Mugunghwa-ho trains terminates or stops at this station. Several Seoul Metropolitan Subway lines serve the station. These are: Seoul Subway Line 1, the Gyeongchun Line, the Suin–Bundang Line and the Gyeongui–Jungang Line.

Hapjeong Station is a subterranean station of Seoul Subway Line 2 and Seoul Subway Line 6. The station is located just north of the Han River in Mapo-gu. The name of the subway station comes from its local name. The name of the area means clam well.
Chungjeongno Station (Korean: 충정로역) is a subway station on Seoul Subway Line 2 and Seoul Subway Line 5. It is located in Seodaemun-gu, which is a district in Seoul, South Korea. Chungjeong was the pen name of minister Min Yeong-hwan, who committed suicide protesting the signing of the Japan–Korea Treaty of 1905.
Noryangjin Station is a metro station in central Seoul, South Korea. The station is located in the Noryangjin-dong (neighborhood) of Dongjak-gu (ward) and is also a stop on Seoul Subway Line 1 and Seoul Subway Line 9. This stop is a popular destination for those seeking to eat raw fish, and other assorted seafood, as a large, covered sea food market is located next to the station, accessible by foot bridge. The Line 1 station is also notable in that Exit 1 and 2 have the same number as Exit 1 and 2 of Line 9's station.
Daegok Station is a station on Seoul Subway Line 3, the Gyeongui–Jungang Line and the Seohae Line. It is located in the city of Goyang, close to Ilsan. It is mainly used as a transfer station between the three lines rather than as an actual enter-and-exit stop, as the station is located in the midst of farmland with very little local resident demand.
Bupyeong station is a subway station located in Bupyeong District, a district in Incheon, South Korea. This station is on the Seoul Subway Line 1 and Incheon Subway Line 1. It is one of the busiest stations on the Incheon line because of its central location and its connection to the Seoul line.
Anyang Station is a ground-level subway station on Line 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. The station is located in the Anyang One neighborhood, in Manan District, Seoul. The station's sole exit offers access to Enter-6 Mall, which occupies the same building. Travel time from Anyang Station to Seoul Station on Line 1 is approximately 40 minutes. Anyang Station is the main station in Anyang, but there are another six stations in Anyang, namely Beomgye, Pyeongchon and Indeogwon on Line 4, and Myeonghak, Gwanak and Seoksu on Line 1, though the latter's platforms lie within Seoul. It is connected with Lotte Dapartment Store.
