Charisma University (CU) is an academic institution located in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI), British Overseas Territories of the United Kingdom. It is a non-profit institution [1] recognized by the Turks and Caicos Islands Ministry of Education, Labour, Employment and Customer Service [2] [3] to offer accredited undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate degree programs and certificate programs in various disciplines taught by over 100 faculty members.

The university specialises in providing for adult learners and online learning.

The Center for Advanced Research and Innovation (CARI) [4] was established as an independent organization under the auspices of Charisma University. The Center provides facilities for higher research in various areas of Humanities, Social Science and Technology disciplines. CARI is also aimed at establishing and promoting exchange programs with academic, research, training institutes and think tank organizations at home and abroad.

Charisma University is an institutional member of the American Council on Education (ACE). [5] ACE is a member of the International Association of Universities (IAU). [6]

Charisma University is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation International Quality Group (CIQG). [7] The CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) advances the understanding of international quality assurance and promotes high-quality higher education through international accreditation bodies worldwide. [8]

Accreditation

Charisma University is recognized by the Turks and Caicos Islands Ministry of Education, Labour, Employment and Customer Service as a degree-granting institution for associate degree, Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and the Doctorate along with Certificate programs. [2] Ministry of Education, Labour, Employment and Customer Service is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). [9]

Charisma University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). [10] ACBSP accredits business, accounting, and business-related programs at the associate, baccalaureate, master, and doctorate degree levels worldwide. [11] ACBSP is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). [12]

Charisma University is institutionally accredited by the Accreditation, Certification, and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN). [13] [14]

Charisma University is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) having been awarded Candidate status for accreditation as a Category IV institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 25, 2023. [15]

Charisma University is listed on the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). [16] The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) is the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education's (ENQA) and the European Higher Education Area's (EHEA) official register of QAAs, listing those that substantially comply with the ESG.

Charisma University is listed in the collaborative International Association of Universities (IAU) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). [17]

The Knowledge Review Magazine selected Charisma University as one of the 10 Best Universities of Caribbean Islands in 2019. [18]

Charisma University is listed and ranked 801+ in the Impact Rankings: Quality education 2021 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. [19]

Morthland College (MC) was a private Christian liberal arts college in West Frankfort, Illinois. The school was founded in 2009 by Dr. Tim Morthland and opened in 2011 as a small, co-educational liberal arts college. The college had an initial enrollment of forty students and 300-400 students prior to its closure in 2018. Morthland College athletic teams were known as the Patriots. The college was a member of the NCCAA in the Division-I Mid-East Region.

The Akkrediterungs-, Certifizierungs- und Qualitätssicherungs-Institut (ACQUIN) is a school accreditation system founded in the year 2001 as a consequence of the European Bologna process and the upcoming need for assuring the quality of newly introduced undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Germany. ACQUIN is a member-based, non-profit organisation located in Bayreuth, Bavaria, Germany. The Institute operates under the licence of the German Accreditation Council and is thus empowered to award its quality seal to study programs which have successfully undergone accreditation. ACQUIN was reaccredited by the German Accreditation Council until 30 September 2011. ACQUIN operates internationally in several key regions, including the German-speaking European region, Middle and Eastern Europe and North Africa - Near and Middle East. Nowadays ACQUIN is an association of over 100 higher education institutions from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary and the United States of America. ACQUIN operates as a non-profit organisation which is financed through membership fees as well as through Higher Education Institutions for accreditation services provided.
