Chipaw Marka [1] (Hispanicized spelling Chipaomarca) is an archaeological site in Peru. It was declared a National Cultural Heritage in 2003. Chipaw Marka lies in the Ayacucho Region, Lucanas Province, Chipao District. [1]

The marka was the currency of the Kingdom of Poland and of the Republic of Poland between 1917 and 1924. It was subdivided into 100 fenigs, much like its German original after which it was modelled.

The Estonian mark was the currency of Estonia between 1918 and 1927. Marka people

The Marka people are a Mande people of northwest Mali. They speak the Marka, a Manding language.

The Marka refugee camp is one of six emergency camps erected in 1968 to shelter 15,000 Palestinian refugees and displaced persons who left the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as a result of the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. Muyuq Marka

Muyuq Marka, also Muyuqmarka, is an archaeological site in Peru. It is a round Incan building, which is situated within the fortress Saksaywaman above Cuzco. It was used as a Temple of the Sun, but became part of a complex of rectangular buildings which mostly still remain today. However, the temple and the two flanking towers were dismantled during the Spanish rule. What remains of Muyuq Marka indicates that it was "a round building with an open central court which had a fountain." The temple had triple walls, which were aligned with the zenith sunrise and the antizenith sunset.

It is situated in the Cusco Region, Cusco Province, Cusco District, north of the city of Cusco. It lies east of the archaeological site of Sacsayhuamán and south of Tambomachay and Puka Pukara, near Qenko.

Markahirka or Marka Hirka is an archaeological site with cave paintings and stone tombs (chullpa) on a mountain of the same name in Peru. It is located in the Ancash Region, Huari Province, in the districts of Cajay and Masin. It is situated at a height of 3,580 metres (11,745 ft). Markahirka is also a good viewpoint with views into the Puchka valley (Puchca) and to the towns of Huari (Wari) and Huachis (Wachis).
