Description

History

The Disneyland Paris Hotel opened with the Euro Disney Resort in April 1992. It is a luxury hotel located at the Disneyland Paris resort in Marne-la-Vallée, France. The hotel features a variety of room types, including standard rooms, suites, and family rooms. It offers amenities including on-site dining options, a fitness center, and an indoor pool. The hotel is located at the entrance to Disneyland Paris theme park.

Design

The Imagineers who designed the park's Main Street partnered with architecture firm, Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo on the project. [1] The architecture of the hotel references Victorian American hotels, such as the Hotel del Coronado.

Refurbishment

Having closed with the rest of the resort in March 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the hotel did not reopen but instead underwent an extensive refurbishment, which was announced in April 2021. [2] The refurbished hotel reopened on 25 January 2024. [3]

Rooms

The Disneyland Hotel offers three levels of rooms, as well as suites.

Superior

The 346 entry-level superior rooms are located throughout the hotel. [4]

Deluxe

82 deluxe rooms offer a dedicated check-in as well as an executive lounge area, offering complimentary breakfast as well as drinks and snacks during the day. [4] [5]

Castle Club

The Castle Club consists of 41 rooms on the top two floors in the central wing, forming a "hotel within a hotel". [4] Guests in these rooms have complimentary breakfast daily with attendance of Disney princesses, a lounge with a view of the park, free soft drinks, and a dedicated elevator to take them to Disneyland Park. [5]

Suites

The "signature suites" offer a choice of themes:

There are also two larger suites, the "Princely Suite" themed after Beauty and the Beast and the "Royal Suite" themed after Frozen. [5]

Restaurants and Cuisine

The Disneyland Hotel is home to two restaurants and a bar. [6]

Restaurants

The Royal Banquet restaurant will offer buffet service, with a table-service menu available at La Table de Lumiere. Each restaurant will feature Disney characters visiting guests at their tables while they dine. [6] The Fleur de Lys bar will offer lighter dishes, snacks, drinks, and an afternoon tea service. [6]

Historic restaurants

Prior to its refurbishment, the hotel restaurants and bar were:

California Grill

The California Grill was an haute cuisine restaurant run by chef Philippe Geneletti. [7] [8] This restaurant has now permanently closed with the space redesigned to be the brand new Table de Lumiere restaurant.

Inventions

Inventions was a buffet-style character dining restaurant inspired by Jules Verne & Leonardo da Vinci. It featured a weekly Sunday brunch with a changing theme. [9] Inventions permanently closed and the space was redesigned into the Royal Banquet [10]

Café Fantasia

Café Fantasia was a piano bar themed to Disney's Fantasia. The bar served cocktails, coffee, and light dining options throughout the day. [11] . This bar has now closed, with the space designed into the Fleur de Lys Bar.
