After collaborating with actor Tom Cruise on the Mission Impossible film series, Cruise recommended to director Joseph Kosinski that Hamilton edit their upcoming film Top Gun: Maverick . [4] For his work on the film, Hamilton was nominated for numerous year-end awards, including the Academy Award and BAFTA award. [5] [6]
