HD 79447 is a single [8] star in the southern constellation of Carina. It has the Bayer designation i Carinae, while HD 79447 is the identifier from the Henry Draper catalogue . This star has a blue-white hue and is visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of +3.96. [2] It is located at a distance of approximately 540  light years from the Sun based on parallax, [1] and has an absolute magnitude of −2.14. [2] The star drifting further away with a radial velocity of +18 km/s. [2] It is a candidate member of the Lower Centaurus–Crux group of the Sco OB2 association. [9]

This object is a B-type main-sequence star with a stellar classification of B3V. [3] A surface magnetic field has been detected with a strength on the order of 1  kG . [9] It has an estimated age of around 39 [4]  million years with no measured spin rate. [6] The star has about 5.6 [5] times the radius of the Sun and 7 [4] times the Sun's mass. It is radiating over two thousand [2] times the luminosity of the Sun from its photosphere at an effective temperature of 18,900 K. [3]

Omicron1 Orionis is a binary star in the northeastern corner of the constellation Orion. It is visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 4.7. Based upon an annual parallax shift of 5.01±0.71 mas, it is located approximately 650 light years from the Sun. At that distance, the visual magnitude of the star is diminished by an interstellar absorption factor of 0.27 due to intervening dust.

HD 85622 is a binary star system in the southern constellation of Vela. It is visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 4.58. The distance to HD 85622 can be estimated from its annual parallax shift of 4.3 mas, yielding a value of 750 light years. θ Normae, Latinised as Theta Normae, is a binary star system in the constellation Norma. It has an apparent visual magnitude of 5.13 and is visible to the naked eye as a faint, blue-white-hued point of light. Based upon an annual parallax shift of 9.27 mas as seen from Earth, this system is located about 352 light-years from the Sun. Based upon an annual parallax shift of 3.4254 mas, it is located 950 light-years from the Sun. The system is moving further away with a heliocentric radial velocity of +35 km/s.

HD 34255, also known HR 1720, is a star located in the northern circumpolar constellation Camelopardalis, the giraffe. It has an apparent magnitude of 5.60, allowing it to be faintly visible to the naked eye. The object is located relatively far at a distance of about 1.65 kly but is approaching the Solar System with a heliocentric radial velocity of −7.7 km/s.
