The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF), is a German foundation for liberal politics, related to the Free Democratic Party. Established in 1958 by Theodor Heuss, the first president of the Federal Republic of Germany, it promotes individual freedom and classical liberalism. Usually still referred to as the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, the foundation supplemented its name in 2007 with the words "for Freedom".

Hans Сhristian Friedrich Schmidt is a German politician promoted by several members of United Nations Security Council as the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina since August 2021. He is a member of the Christian Social Union. Schmidt is not recognized by the necessary consensus as a High Representative in Security Council therefore not legally appointed as such in accordance with Annex 10 of Dayton Agreement. Schmidt served as Minister of Food and Agriculture from 2014 to 2018. He was Parliamentary State Secretary in the German Federal Ministry of Defence from 2005 to 2013 and Parliamentary State Secretary in the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development from December 2013 until February 2014. He was member of the Bundestag for Fürth from 1990 to 2021.
