Harris Bus [1] was an English bus operator that operated services under contract to Transport for London.

History

Harris Bus was established in October 1986 as bus and coach operator in Grays. In 1997 it diversified, operating routes under contract to London Regional Transport winning tenders to operate routes 108, 128, 129, 132, 150 and 180. [2]

In December 1999, Harris Bus was placed in administration with its London services taken over by London Regional Transport's East Thames Buses subsidiary. [2] [3] [4] [5]

London Buses route 108 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Lewisham and Stratford International station, it is operated by London Central. An unusual feature of the route is its use of the Blackwall Tunnel, a source of severe delays which leads to the route often being cited as amongst the least reliable in London.

It was rebranded as Kentish Bus in 1987 and used this name for most of its existence. Its former garages and operations now form part of Arriva Southern Counties and Arriva London, though several of its former major routes, such as Crawley to Redhill, which passes Gatwick Airport, were passed on to Metrobus.

London Country North East was a bus operator in South East England and London. It was formed from the split of London Country Bus Services in 1986 and operated a fleet of around 350 buses from six garages, with its headquarters located in Hatfield.
