Hockey Algeria is the public name of the authority which governs both ice hockey, inline hockey and ball hockey in Algeria.

Hockey Algeria was founded in 2008 by Karim Kerbouche, Harond Litim and Nassim Boulakdem and was later accepted into the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) on 26 September 2019. [1] The goal was to unite hockey players of Algerian origin from around the world, and create an Algerian national team. Hockey Algeria is an associate member of the IIHF and therefore has no right to vote in the General Assembly. The current president of Hockey Algeria is Karim Kerbouche.

There is currently little ice hockey activity in Algeria. There is currently one club in Algeria, HC Alger Corsaires. [2] There is one real ice rink in Algeria and several synthetic ice rinks, with various levels of activity within them.

Greece are unable to compete in IIHF tournaments at present because they cannot fulfill the minimum standard of having one operational "Olympic size" indoor rink. They last competed in 2013.

United Arab Emirates mens national ice hockey team

The UAE national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of the United Arab Emirates. It is operated under the UAE Ice Sports Federation and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). As of 26 May 2019, the UAE is currently ranked 48th in the IIHF World Ranking and competes in Division III Group A tournament of the World Championships.

The Thailand national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Thailand. The team is controlled by the Ice Hockey Association of Thailand and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Thailand is currently ranked at fifty-first in the IIHF World Rankings and have been entered in the World Championship tournaments since 2019 but have not yet participated at any Olympic Games. They have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.

The Moroccan national ice hockey team is the men's national ice hockey team of Morocco. The team is controlled by the Royal Moroccan Ice Hockey Federation and has been an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The team's home rink is in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

Ice hockey in Africa

There are a number of indoor ice rinks in African countries that are used for ice hockey. Enthusiasts have formed national teams in several countries and an inaugural African Nations Cup of Ice Hockey was planned for 2009. The first African Nations Cup of Ice Hockey was planned for South Africa between 19–26 September 2009. The matches of the championship were to be played at the ice rink of "Festival Shopping Centre" in Kempton Park. The competing countries were to be South Africa, Morocco and Algeria. However, the tournament was postponed due to lack of response from the invited countries and never played.

The Greek Ice hockey Championship is the only level of ice hockey in Greece. It is operated under the jurisdiction of the Hellenic Ice Sports Federation, an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. There are currently registered 100 players.

The Chilean national ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team of Chile. Chile is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Rankings and have not entered in any IIHF World Championship

Ice hockey in Israel

Ice Hockey in Israel is a minor sport. Until the construction of the new arena in Holon, many Israeli hockey players were members of the Canada Israel Hockey School housed at the Canada Centre in Metulla, Israel. Lately, a vast number of new hockey team (/clubs) has been created in the 'center' of Israel, most of them based on roller-hockey players, or young players who started their career in the Holon ice arena.

The Iranian national ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team of Iran. The team was founded in June 2016, is controlled by the Islamic Republic of Iran Skating Federation, and on 26 September 2019, became an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

The Islamic Republic of Iran Skating Federation (IRISF) is the governing body of ice hockey, inline hockey and roller sports in Iran. The IRISF was not a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) until 26 September 2019, it was accepted into the IIHF. The IRISF has been an associate member of the IIHF, as well as a member of World Skate. The current president of the IRISF is Bahman Mohammad Rezaei.

The team is controlled by the Federation of Ice Hockey League (FIHL) and has been associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The Philippines is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and have never entered in any World Championship tournaments or at any Olympic Games, but have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.

Indonesia is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and have not entered in any World Championship tournaments or at any Olympic Games, but have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.

The Jamaica national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Jamaica. They are controlled by the Jamaican Olympic Ice Hockey Federation and has been an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 18 May 2012. Jamaica is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and is still not actively competing in any IIHF World Championship events. Jamaica made its international debut in 2019, at the Latin American Tournament, known as the Amerigol LATAM Cup, in the United States.

Konstantin Mihailov is a Bulgarian retired ice hockey and roller in-line hockey goaltender. He played in 28 Ice Hockey World Championships with the Bulgaria men's national ice hockey team, and three IIHF Inline Hockey World Championships with the Bulgaria men's national inline hockey team, then retired from international play at age 51. His lengthy international career was recognized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in 2019, as a recipient of the Torriani Award.

The Colombian Ice Hockey Federation is the governing body of ice hockey in Colombia.
