The Ice Hockey Association of the DPR Korea is the governing body of ice hockey in North Korea. [1]
The Armenian national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Armenia. They hosted the Division III, Group B tournament of the 2010 World Championships. They are managed by the Ice Hockey Federation of Armenia.
Historically, North Korea's participation in international sporting events has been hindered by the relations with South Korea. Until the 1990s, North Korea used to host up to 14 international events every year, albeit in small scale. Since the early 1990s, the amount was reduced to just one, the Paektusan Prize International Figure Skating Festival. More recently, since the 2000s, North Korea both participates in and hosts more international competitions.

The 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship Division III tournament was played in Dunedin, New Zealand, between 17 and 22 January 2012. This year, only the first-placed team advanced to Division II B for 2013, previously, the top two teams gained promotion to Division II. Although originally scheduled to participate, North Korea withdrew from the tournament for unspecified reasons. Iceland won the tournament and was promoted to Division II B for the 2013 World Juniors.

The team is controlled by the Ice Hockey Association of the DPR Korea, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The team represents North Korea at the IIHF World U18 Championships. At the IIHF Asian Oceanic U18 Championships, the team won two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal.

The 2015 IIHF World Championship Division III was an international ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was contested in İzmir, Turkey, from 3 to 12 April 2015. Seven nations participated, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, who joined the world championships for the first time since 2008. After three consecutive years of finishing in the second place, North Korea won the tournament and was promoted to Division II Group B for 2016.
Park Jong-ah is a South Korean ice hockey player and the captain of the South Korean national ice hockey team, currently playing in the Korean Women's Hockey League (KWHL) with the Suwon City Hall women's ice hockey team. As of April 2022, she was the all-time leader in goals (41) and points scored (68) for the South Korean women's national team.
The 2020 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships were the 22nd such series of tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams were supposed to play at six tiers of competition. However, four of the six tournaments were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition also served as qualifications for the 2021 competition and finalized seeding for the 2022 Winter Olympics qualification.

Chung Mong-won is a South Korean ice hockey administrator and businessman. He has served as chief executive officer of both Halla Group and Mando Corporation, founded the Anyang Halla hockey team in 1994, and co-founded Asia League Ice Hockey in 2003. He became involved in international ice hockey as manager of the South Korea men's national ice hockey team in 2003, then became chairman of the Korea Ice Hockey Association in 2013, and implemented a development plan for the men's national team and the South Korea women's national ice hockey team in advance of ice hockey at the 2018 Winter Olympics hosted in South Korea. Under his leadership, the men's national team earned promotion to the top tier at the 2018 IIHF World Championship, and the women's national team played in the 2018 Winter Olympics on a Unified Korea team with North Korea. The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has named Chung to its 2020 IIHF Hall of Fame group of inductees.
