The Susquehannock people, also called the Conestoga by English settlers, were Iroquoian-speaking Native Americans who lived in areas adjacent to the Susquehanna River and its tributaries ranging from its upper reaches in the southern part of what is now New York, through eastern and central Pennsylvania west of the Poconos and the upper Delaware River, with lands extending beyond the mouth of the Susquehanna in Maryland along the west bank of the Potomac at the north end of the Chesapeake Bay.

Charles Edward Hodges was the Democratic President of the West Virginia Senate from Monongalia County and served from 1935 to 1939. He was the son of Thomas Edward Hodges, a noted academic. He died in a hospital in Charleston, West Virginia on May 1, 1968, where he had been for over a month after suffering a heart attack in March.
The U.S. Military Railroad (USMRR) was established by the United States War Department as a separate agency to operate any rail lines seized by the government during the American Civil War. An Act of Congress of 31 January 1862 authorized President Abraham Lincoln to seize control of the railroads and telegraph for military use in January 1862. In practice, however, the USMRR restricted its authority to Southern rail lines captured in the course of the war. As a separate organization for rail transportation the USMRR is one of the predecessors of the modern United States Army Transportation Corps.

Tulaczyk Glacier is a steep valley glacier draining the west slope of Vinson Massif southwest of Príncipe de Asturias Peak, and descending between Cairns Glacier and Zapol Glacier in the Sentinel Range, Antarctica. The glacier flows southwestward and leaving the range, together with Cairns Glacier joins Nimitz Glacier west of Hodges Knoll and southeast of Klenova Peak. It was named by US-ACAN (2006) after Slawek M. Tulaczyk, Earth Sciences, University of California, Santa Cruz; USAP researcher of West Antarctic ice streams from 1998.

The 1901 West Virginia Mountaineers football team was an American football team that represented West Virginia University as an independent during the 1901 college football season. In its second non-consecutive season under head coach Lewis Yeager, the team compiled a 3–2 record and outscored opponents by a total of 73 to 34. Milton S. Hodges was the team captain.
