Ibesikpo-Asutan is a Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. It is inhabited by the Ibesikpo and Asutan clans. The Local Government Headquarters is Nung Udoe. [2] It is the home of former Akwa Ibom State governor architect Obong Victor Attah. It is also Home to the one Time Chief of Air staf f, Late Air Marshall Nsikak Eduok. It is made up of 43 villages. The Lutheran Church National Headquarters, Seminary, and Lutheran High school are located in the Local Government, at Obot Idim.

Etinan is located within the South South part of Nigeria and constitutes one of the Local Government Areas in the oil rich Akwa Ibom State. Known for its agricultural and arts craft products, the area forms one of the most peaceful locations in the West African State of Nigeria.

Ibeno is located in the south south of Nigeria and is a Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Ibeno town lies on the eastern side of the Kwa Ibo River about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) from the river mouth, and is one of the largest fishing settlements on the Nigerian coast. Michael Okon Enyong is a Nigerian politician who represents Uyo, Uruan, Nsit Atai and Ibesikpo Asutan in the Nigerian National Assembly. Before being elected into office, he was chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Tourism Board.

The 2023 Akwa Ibom State gubernatorial election took place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, concurrent with elections to the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. Etim Jack Okpoyo, was a Nigerian politician. From an Oron origin, he was the former and the first deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State from 1992–1993. He was a businessman, a one-time Ambassador of Nigeria to Italy and Albania and a civil engineer. He was a Rotarian who believed in community service and served the Oro nation in various leadership capacities.

The 2023 Nigerian presidential election in Akwa Ibom State will be held on 25 February 2023 as part of the nationwide 2023 Nigerian presidential election to elect the president and vice president of Nigeria. Other federal elections, including elections to the House of Representatives and the Senate, will also be held on the same date while state elections will be held two weeks afterward on 11 March.
