John Glenn High School is a public high school located in Norwalk, California and part of the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District. Its athletics participate in the 605 League of the CIF Southern Section. The school colors are red, white, and blue. The school's team nickname is the Eagles. The school was named after astronaut and future U.S. senator John Glenn. Current administrators are Principal Jennifer Padilla, and assistant principals include Shannon Cruz,Orlando Beltran,and Paulette Gasporra. [2] Glenn High School opened in 1963. First graduating class was 1965.

Excelsior High School, originally named Excelsior Union High School, was founded in 1903 and located on Walnut Street in Norwalk, California. The current campus was built in 1924. The campus sustained substantial damage to the administration building, auditorium, and other buildings in the 1933 Long Beach earthquake. Although the earthquake occurred after school hours, one student died when an internal wall in a portion of the boy's gym failed. Its last graduating class was 1981.

Charles Henry "Bo" Wood is a former American football player and high school coach. He played for the Atlanta Falcons in 1967 and coached the Cherry Hill East Cougars high school team for 33 years.
