Kesha: My Crazy Beautiful Life is an American documentary television series about the life of singer Kesha. It aired on MTV for two seasons from April 23 to December 18, 2013. [1] [2] [3]

Premise

The first season of Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life chronicles Kesha as she works through all the drama and adventures in both her personal and professional life over the course of two years, during her Get Sleazy Tour. Filmed by her brother Lagan Sebert and filmmaker Steven Greenstreet, it also encompasses the artist as she creates her second studio album, Warrior , and travels to various countries. Reception

The first season received mixed to positive reviews from critics. Metacritic, which gives reviews on a scale of one to 100, gave the show's first season a 55, which represents mixed or average reviews. [10]

Controversy

The episode "A Warrior in the Making", which aired on May 21, 2013, was subject to criticism from the Parents Television Council due to a short scene in which Kesha supposedly tastes her own urine. [11]

Photography was also provided by Jason Sheldon and Lagan Sebert, who also helped develop the project with Kesha. The book was published by Simon & Schuster on November 20, 2012, to coincide with the release of her album Warrior on November 30, 2012. The book's title, My Crazy Beautiful Life is taken after her song "Crazy Beautiful Life" from her 2010 EP Cannibal.

Both Kesha and Pitbull officially announced the trek around North America on Friday, March 22, 2013. Although the tour's official name is the North American Tour, Pitbull and Kesha announced on August 5, 2013 that they are bringing the tour to Australia in late October and early November. The tour started on May 23, 2013 in Boston at the Comcast Center and came to a close on June 26, 2013 in Tampa, Florida at the Live Nation Amphitheatre.
