Line 2 is an east–west line in the Shanghai Metro network. With a length of nearly 64 km (40 mi), it is the second longest line in the metro system after line 11. Line 2 runs from East Xujing in the west to Pudong International Airport in the east, passing Hongqiao Airport, the Huangpu river, and the Lujiazui Financial District in Pudong. With a daily ridership of over 1.9 million, it is the busiest line on the Shanghai Metro. The eastern portion of the line, from Guanglan Road to Pudong International Airport, was operated almost independently from the main segment until April 19, 2019, when through service began. The line is colored light green on system maps.
Qingdao Liuting International Airport was the main airport that served the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province, China. It was about 31 km (19 mi) from the city center and served as a hub for Shandong Airlines, Beijing Capital Airlines and Qingdao Airlines as well as a focus city for China Eastern Airlines. A replacement airport, Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, opened on 12 August 2021.

The line became operational on July 19, 2008. On subway maps, the Capital Airport Express' color is Pantone 666C.

The line will be 47.48 km long and will run in a west–east direction between Wushan Square station in Shangcheng District and Jiangdong'er Road station in Qiantang District in the east, passing through downtown Hangzhou and providing transfers with multiple other lines in the system. The section between Olympic Sports Center Station and Jiangdong'er Road Station was opened on 30 December 2020, the remaining section opened on 1 April 2022.
Line 19 of the Hangzhou Metro is a rapid transit line in Hangzhou. The line was opened on 22 September 2022.
Line 22 of the Guangzhou Metro is a partially open rapid transit express line in Guangzhou with trains operating up to 160 km/h (99 mph). It runs between Panyu Square and Chentougang, passing Guangzhou South Railway Station in Panyu District, and will eventually run in a north-south direction passing Xilang and Fangcun in Liwan District. Currently, there are train attendants on board each train. In the future, trains will operate fully driverless GoA4 mode when sufficient reliability from the signaling system has been confirmed.
Daxing Jichang station is a station on the Daxing Airport Express of the Beijing Subway, and the Beijing–Xiong'an intercity railway of China Railway.
