Francisco Rabal Valera, better known as Paco Rabal, was a Spanish actor, director, and screenwriter born in Águilas, a town in the south-western part of the province of Murcia, Spain. Throughout his career, Rabal appeared in around 200 films working with directors including Francesc Rovira-Beleta, Luis Buñuel, José Luis Sáenz de Heredia, Carlos Saura, Pedro Almodóvar, William Friedkin, Michelangelo Antonioni, Claude Chabrol, Luchino Visconti, and Gillo Pontecorvo. Paco Rabal was recognized both in his native Spain and internationally, winning the Award for Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival for Los Santos Inocentes and a Goya Award for Best Actor for playing Francisco de Goya in Carlos Saura's Goya en Burdeos. One of Spain's most loved actors, Rabal also was known for his commitment to human rights and other social causes.
Narciso Ibáñez Menta was a Spanish theatre, film, and television actor.
María del Socorro Tellado López, known as Corín Tellado, was a prolific Spanish writer of romantic novels and photonovels that were best-sellers in several Spanish-language countries. She published more than 4,000 titles and sold more than 400 million books which have been translated into several languages. She was listed in the 1994 Guinness World Records as having sold the most books written in Spanish, and earlier in 1962 UNESCO declared her the most read Spanish writer after Miguel de Cervantes.
The Grand Prix de Littérature Policière is a French literary prize founded in 1948 by author and literary critic Maurice-Bernard Endrèbe. It is the most prestigious award for crime and detective fiction in France. Two prizes are awarded annually to the best French novel and to the best international crime novel published in that year.
Alberto Closas Lluró was a prolific Spanish film actor who appeared in the Cinema of Argentina in the 1940s and 1950s and in Spanish cinema after 1955.
International relations between Argentina and Israel, have existed for decades. Both countries established diplomatic relations on May 31, 1949.
Alberto Dalbés was an Argentine film and television actor. who appeared in Argentinian and Spanish films, including horror films, giallo/ crime dramas and spaghetti westerns. He was known for his roles in eleven films directed by Jesus Franco including The Devil Came from Akasava (1971), Daughter of Dracula (1972), Tender and Perverse Emanuelle (1973), The Erotic Rites of Frankenstein (1973), Les Demons (1973), Un capitán de quince años (1974), Un Silencio de Tumba (1976), and Dracula, Prisoner of Frankenstein (1972). He also starred in Hunchback of the Morgue (1973) co-starring Paul Naschy and Maniac Mansion (1972). He died in Madrid in 1983, at age 61.
Galit Ronen is an Israeli diplomat who was Israel's ambassador to Uruguay from 2018 to 2019, and currently serves as ambassador to Argentina.
Ilan Sztulman was the Israeli Ambassador to Argentina from 2016 until 2019. He replaced Dorit Shavit and was succeeded by Galit Ronen.
