Louisville Bible College is a private, co-educational college located in southeast Louisville, Kentucky, United States. It was founded in September 1948. LBC's mission is "to educate preachers and other Christian leaders for Christ's Church."

Student life

LBC is primarily a commuter campus with student housing available for those beyond a commuting distance.

Students are encouraged to participate in campus life (such as cookouts with administration, faculty and staff) and to cultivate a network of Christian mentors and friends.

Chapel services are held and are considered to be an important part of Student Life. They are developed to meet students' spiritual formation needs.

Board of Regents

The Board of Regents is the governing body of the college. The board is responsible for hiring the President, setting policy, approving the budget, securing adequate funding/resources, and advancing the mission of the institution.

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) is a Baptist seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. It is the oldest of the six seminaries affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). The seminary was founded in 1859 in Greenville, South Carolina, where it was at first housed on the campus of Furman University. The seminary has been an innovator in theological education, establishing one of the first Ph.D. programs in religion in the year 1892. After being closed during the Civil War, it moved in 1877 to a newly built campus in downtown Louisville and moved to its current location in 1926 in the Crescent Hill neighborhood. In 1953, Southern became one of the few seminaries to offer a full, accredited degree course in church music. For more than fifty years Southern has been one of the world's largest theological seminaries, with an FTE enrollment of over 3,300 students in 2015.

Bethany College (Saskatchewan) Christian Bible college in Canada

Bethany College was a Christian Bible college established in the town of Hepburn, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1927. Bethany was co-sponsored by the Mennonite Brethren Churches of Alberta and Saskatchewan, and the Saskatchewan Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference churches. The mission of Bethany College was to nurture disciples and train leaders to serve. It was named after the village of Bethany near Jerusalem, a location of several significant encounters with Jesus, as mentioned in the New Testament. John William McGarvey American minister, author and religious educator (1829-1911)

John William McGarvey was a minister, author, and religious educator in the American Restoration Movement. He was particularly associated with the College of the Bible in Lexington, Kentucky where he taught for 46 years, serving as president from 1895 to 1911. He was noted for his opposition to theological liberalism and higher criticism. His writings are still influential among the heirs of the conservative wing of the Restoration Movement, the Churches of Christ and Christian churches and churches of Christ.
