Nova Lady is a Czech free-to-air commercial television station belonging to the Nova Group, which is mainly aimed at a female audience, broadcasting Czech and foreign romantic series, films and reality shows. [1] The station began broadcasting on October 18, 2021. [2] [3] [4] Like other Nova Group channels, they belong to the TV Nova company, which falls under CME.

History

For the first time, consideration was given to launching a Nova group station dedicated to women as early as 2011. [5] The 12-year license for terrestrial and Internet broadcasting was granted by the Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting to TV Nova at its meeting on 10 August 2021. [6]

Television has a long history in Ukraine, where regular television broadcasting started during the Soviet years in 1951. However the first ever TV broadcast took place on 1 February 1939 in Kyiv. Since then TV broadcasting has expanded, particularly after the fall of Communism in 1989, and now there are many different channels and groups in the Ukrainian TV market.

Television stations in Slovakia broadcast in both DVB-T format and DVB-T2 format. Broadcasting is mostly in the Slovak, state-owned channels have some dedicated broadcasting for ethnic minorities. Foreign language movies and shows are dubbed. Czech production is often broadcast in original, with the exception of juvenile programs. Sometimes, foreign language movies are broadcast with Czech dubbing. Czech television channels are also popular in Slovakia, received in paid DVB-T2 service, directly in border regions or carried by cable companies and satellite operators. Most of premium channels like Filmbox, HBO, Viasat Channels, etc. broadcast only in Czech. Discovery, Sport 1, Sport 2 and few others are exception, they broadcast in both Czech and Slovak.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Czech Radio</span> Public radio broadcaster of the Czech Republic

Český rozhlas (CRo) is the public radio broadcaster of the Czech Republic operating continuously since 1923. It is the oldest radio broadcaster in continental Europe and the second oldest in Europe after the BBC. Český Rozhlas was established in 1992 by the Czech Radio Act, which sets out the framework for its operation and financing. It acts as the successor to the previous state-owned Czechoslovak Radio which ceased to exist by 1992.

DVB-T2 is an abbreviation for "Digital Video Broadcasting – Second Generation Terrestrial"; it is the extension of the television standard DVB-T, issued by the consortium DVB, devised for the broadcast transmission of digital terrestrial television. DVB has been standardized by ETSI.

Television in Poland was introduced in 1937. It was state owned, and was interrupted by the Second World War in 1939. Television returned to Poland in 1952 and for several decades was controlled by the communist government. Colour television was introduced in Poland in 1971. Private television stations in Poland appeared around the time of the fall of communism, with PTV Echo becoming the first private station in Poland.

Television is the most popular medium in Russia, with 74% of the population watching national television channels routinely and 59% routinely watching regional channels. There are 3300 television channels in total. Before going digital television, 3 channels have a nationwide outreach : Channel One, Russia-1 and NTV.

Television in Croatia was first introduced in 1956. As of 2012, there are 10 nationwide and 21 regional DVB-T television channels, and there are more than 30 other channels either produced in the Republic of Croatia or produced for the Croatian market and broadcast via IPTV, cable, or satellite television. The electronic communications market in Croatia is regulated by the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), which issues broadcast licenses and monitors the market. The DVB-T and satellite transmission infrastructure is developed and maintained by the state-owned company Odašiljači i veze (OiV).

Etc... is a Czech rock band from Prague, formed in 1974 by singer and guitarist Vladimír Mišík. <i>Tvoje tvář má známý hlas</i> Czech reality singing television show

Tvoje tvář má známý hlas is a Czech reality singing series that is aired on Nova. It is both based on the Endemol format Your Face Sounds Familiar and an adaptation of the Spanish "Tu cara me suena." The show was first broadcast on March 26, 2016, and is still aired. The show involves eight or ten celebrities portraying various iconic singers each week to win 25,000 CZK for their chosen charity.

The 2022 Ostrava municipal election was held on 23 and 24 September 2022 as part of the nationwide municipal elections. ANO 2011 has won the third election in row.

ČT3 was a Czech public television channel, operated by Czech Television. ČT3 broadcast originally in 1993 when it replaced the previous station OK3. Unlike the other two channels of the Czech Television at the time, ČT1 and ČT2, ČT3 broadcast its program largely in foreign languages and 24 hours a day.

Nova Gold is a Czech free-to-air commercial TV station belonging to the Nova Group, whose program includes series and programs from the Nova station archive and foreign crime series. The station began broadcasting on February 22, 2013, to mark Nova's nineteenth birthday.[1] Like other Nova Group channels, they belong to the CET 21 company, which falls under the CME. Nova Gold bears its current name since 4 February 2017, 2017 when the Telka channel was renamed Nova Gold in order to unify the channel names of the Nova group.

Nova Fun is a Czech free-to-air commercial television station, belonging to the Nova Group, which focuses its programming exclusively on shows, series, or films of the comedy genre. The license to broadcast it is owned by TV Nova s.r.o., which is owned by the foreign company CME. The station began broadcasting on December 23, 2012, under the name Smíchov TV. On February 4, 2017, it was renamed Nova 2 to unify the channel names of the Nova group. On September 20, 2021, the station got a new name again, namely Nova Fun.

Nova International is a Czech television station intended for broadcasting abroad. The channel is focused on TV Nova's own programs that have broadcasting rights in Slovakia, e.g. Ulice, Ordinace v růžové zahradě, Gympl s (r)učením omezeným, Na vodě, Televizní noviny, Snídaně s Novou, Počasí, Prásk!, Střepiny or Víkend.
