Orient Baptist Church, also known as First Baptist Church of Laurelton, is a historic Baptist church on New Jersey Route 88 in the Laurelton section of Brick Township in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States.
A church building or church house, often simply called a church, is a building used for Christian religious activities, particularly for Christian worship services. In traditional Christian architecture, the church is often arranged in the shape of a Christian cross. When viewed from plan view the longest part of a cross is represented by the aisle and the junction of the cross is located at the altar area.
Route 88 is a state highway in the northern part of Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. It runs 10.02 mi (16.13 km) from an intersection with U.S. Route 9 and County Route 547 in Lakewood Township to an intersection with Route 35 in Point Pleasant. It is a two-lane undivided road that passes through mostly residential and commercial areas. The route intersects CR 549 in Lakewood, Route 70 in Brick Township at the former Laurelton Circle, and CR 549 Spur in Point Pleasant. The road is mentioned in the lyrics of the 1973 song "Spirit in the Night" by Bruce Springsteen.

The Greek Revival was an architectural movement of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, predominantly in Northern Europe and the United States. A product of Hellenism, it may be looked upon as the last phase in the development of Neoclassical architecture. The term was first used by Charles Robert Cockerell in a lecture he gave as Professor of Architecture to the Royal Academy of Arts, London in 1842.
