The Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWLF) is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of Weightlifting in the Pakistan. The foundation was formed in 1947 and is headquartered in Lahore.

Sport in Pakistan is a significant part of Pakistani culture. Cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan, while field hockey, polo, and squash are also popular. The federation was established in the year 1996. Ju-Jitsu is the only Sports in Pakistan which brought many Laurels for the country by winning Gold, Silver and bronze medals from the official games i.e. Asian Beach Games, Asian Martial Arts Games, Asian Martial arts and Indoor Games.

Talha Talib is a Pakistani weightlifter from Gujranwala. He is the Pakistani national champion in the 62 kg category. He set a new record at the games in snatch as he lifted 132 kg in the third attempt with 127 kg and 130 kg in the first two attempts, respectively. He was also a gold medalist at the 2016 Commonwealth Youth Weightlifting Championships in Penang. He lifted 258 kg to clinch the gold. He is currently the top No. 1 ranked weightlifter of Pakistan.

Ahmed Faheem is Pakistani footballer who plays for WAPDA as a winger. Faheem made his club debut in 2014 for Sui Northern Gas. He made his international debut in 2018 in 2018 SAFF Championship against Bangladesh.
