Pritam Chakraborty , better known by the mononym Pritam, is an Indian music director, composer, singer and record producer for Bollywood films. In a career spanning nearly two decades, he has composed music for more than 125 Bollywood movies. He has won five Filmfare Awards, seven Zee Cine Awards, three Star Screen Awards and seven IIFA Awards among many others.

He has been frequent collaborators with directors like Imtiaz Ali, Anurag Basu, Kabir Khan, Priyadarshan and more. His frequent lyricists are Sameer, Mayur Puri, Irshad Kamil, Sayeed Quadri, Amitabh Bhattacharya.

In his long career, almost every popular singer has sung for his films. Jagga Jasoos is the soundtrack album to the 2017 Hindi-language film of the same name directed by Anurag Basu, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. The film is produced by Pictureshuru Entertainment and Disney Pictures India. The film's soundtrack and background score is composed by Pritam in his fourth collaboration with Basu, whereas the lyrics for the songs were written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Neelesh Misra. The film features dialogues in a sing-song rhymes format written by Samrat Chakraborty, Devesh Kapoor and Debatma Mandal along with Bhattacharya and Basu themselves.

Barfi! is the soundtrack album for the 2012 Hindi film of the same name. The music and original score is composed by Pritam and featured lyrics written by Swanand Kirkire, Ashish Pandit, Neelesh Misra and Sayeed Quadri. The film is directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur under UTV Motion Pictures, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles. The film marks Pritam's third collaboration with Basu after Gangster (2006) and Life in a... Metro (2007). The album was under-development, when the film was in post-production stage and was completed only by early-August 2012. All the tracks in the film expresses the feelings of Kapoor's character.
