Rodney ("Rod") Richard (born February 8, 1932) is an American athlete who competed in the 1955 Pan American Games.

At the 1955 Pan American Games, he won the gold medal in the 100 metre event as well as in the 200 metre competition. He was also a member of the American relay team which won the gold medal in the 4×100 metre contest.

In 1956, he failed to qualify for the Olympics after finishing seventh in the 100 metre event as well as in the 200 metre competition at the USA Olympic Trials in Los Angeles.[ citation needed ]

Jon C. Olsen is an American former competition swimmer, four-time Olympic champion, and former world record-holder. Olsen was a successful relay swimmer for the U.S. national team in the late 1980s and 1990s. He has won a total of 27 medals in major international competition, 20 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze spanning the Olympics, the World, Pan Pacific, and the Pan American championships.
